If this headset performs nearly as well as advertised and does what they claim it does then it's actually a pretty revolutionary thing.
This is first iteration device, to start out this kind of thing. They'll get cheaper later on. I hate Apple too, but not this technology, and this release is to get this sort of thing established and work up an ecosystem for when it can be produced more cheaply. We need more competition in the VR/AR space and unfortunately Apple brings people in.
And in this case you want more normies using VR, not less, because normies will crowd out the weebs, furries, and perverts that infest virtual reality right now. And all the social apps are already gross and highly censored anyway so bringing in your regular person won't dilute anything good.
Linus nerding out about this doesn't say anything about him, even Palmer Luckey thinks this headset is the real deal. Let's just wait and see what happens with this headset before we pass judgment. When the iphone came out I was critical of its lack of physical keyboard and look at how right I was about that. To be honest I don't care what anthony thinks or believes about the farm. While people say a lot of bullshit about the farms that aren't true, I kind of find this concern to be pearl-clutching since we would have been making fun of this guy regardless of what he thinks about us. Face it to begin with, saints and paragons we are are not, though I think "niceness" is overrated regarding certain things and these gender delusions are one of them.
I don't think Anthony's innocuous personality will last long before it alters into something more sinister. He is currently being flooded with validation and "support" on his transition. Whenever this happens it always seems to cement the worst in a person, as it seems to get rid of someones inhibitions and sense of embarassment, which is needed to function as a healthy person, as everyone has thoughts th at they shouldn't act on, troons much more so (ie using the womens room, going out dressed like a tranny prostitute, etc). I feel like all this support he is recieving will slowly erode away that inhibition and self-regulation that makes his personality so much more bearable than any random reddit tranny.
Yes, you are absolutely spot on with this and you seem to understand how this works in their head. The reinforcement they receive turns them into monsters. I do think there is a big probability Anthony will become insufferably woke. I've seen far more (supposedly) reasonable trannies do a 180 overnight, too.
