The bans are getting more and more obscure. This guy got banned for being a very, very well hidden Putler agent who has not posted since 2013, and had all of 8 posts:

...and this guy got banned for insulting the lolcows:

Is the use of a general "the admins" account a recent development? It kinda reminds me of ol' GAF's style of banning people.

"Next time, there'll be no next time" is a direct quote from a Sopranos character after staging a "final warning" mock execution, to give you some idea of how badass the RPG.net mods think they are.

Kali-ma give me strength.
He also managed to butcher the meaning of the phrase. "Next time there'll be no next time" means that after the next time you're dead, no more second chances. "Next time... well, there will be no next time" means he should be dead already, it should be a perma-ban message.

Trust an rpg.net failmod to try to sound like a badass and sound like a gigantic faggot instead. That's almost a Bush-ism.

“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

It must be a lot of work to have to look this hard for things to get offended over. Not to mention writing an explanation as to why you're offended that's many times longer than the original post.
Telling that the last admin is someone using a Ginyu avatar. A character who can swap into other people's bodies. Between that and their post I can fairly assume they are fat and wish they could claim the body of a non-fatty.

"Third world" joins the long list of terms that can get you banned in the pink unicorn utopia.

A professor who identifies as Nigerian-American (so is therefore almost certainly born in American and trying to stand out) and another who claims that the only reason the Third World countries are poor is because da evil colonisers took their resources...failing to address why those countries were not at an equivalent or greater level of technological development as those occupiers. Truly the greatest sources
NPR is operating as the standard for posters on RPG.net is unsurprising. I wonder if this exact same logic will be used to ban "first-world problems."

Idiots! "third world" is a left over from the cold war where you had capitalism vs communism as the first two parts of the world, and then everybody not involved in the conflict as "the third world."

These pussies would need to toughen up before they could even reach the hardness level of "snowflake." I've seen bubbles less sensitive then them.

It's the condescending attitude that really makes it.

If you're on the staff at Harvard Medical School, you are not oppressed.

The only reason he got a month long ban is because lots of the mods used to work for White Wolf.

These dumb fuckers unironically think that Africa would look like Wakanda if not for European colonization, and ignore all the evidence otherwise. To really push the punchline, a lot of the Natives are so fucking stupid that they destroyed Colonial-Era infrastructure for a quick buck, and they still insist that their poverty is entirely because somebody gathered resources they never bothered to gather before.

It really depends on the colonizing power. Say what you like about the English Empire, but almost all the countries that were colonized by them were better off for it in the long run, to the point they even kept things like the legal system and infrastructure they got. One exception would be Rhodesia, which turned into absolute shit because they had to be perverse idiots and throw away the baby with the bathwater, get rid of all the white people (you know the ones who were growing the food), etc.

You can't really say this about most imperial powers, though. The Belgians were absolute monsters. The shit they did to the Congo is really up there with anything Hitler did. Most of them left nothing resembling infrastructure behind, where literally the only "contribution" they made was building something like a single road to whatever strip mine they set up and left as a toxic waste site, straight from the coast, and that's all there was.

So it's a mixed bag. There were definitely countries that were left in absolute shambles by shitty occupying powers, but there were also benefits to it. Look how many of the former English colonies have maintained close relations with the UK or are members of the Commonwealth to this day.

That certainly isn't something you'd do for some pack of slavers and colonizers who utterly fucked up your country.

Late to the party on this, but wow, that explains so very much about the sheer insufferableness of this mod team.

I particularly like how they carefully instruct the erring poster to use his ban time to reflect on his sins, like he was a monastery initiate who got caught scarfing the sacrificial wine and now he has to do a month's penance on bread and water. The mods are woke, the mods are totalitarian, the mods are inconceivably high off their own farts ... but dear God they are also so schoolmarmish.
