^This is precisely why TPTB are scrambling so hard to indict him on SOMETHING. They know that if he actually manages to get in this time (:optimistic:), he will show no mercy.
I'm doubtful. If anything else, they'll just double down again on their bs. Trump will get a tiny bit done regardless. They're scrambling because they really hate him and everything up until now has fallen on its face to stop Trump. Except the election rigging.

Yes, there's a gym at the capitol, and there's showers, and many congressmen try to live in their offices to save money or when "working" for their constituents, but you don't talk about that shit.
That just sounds like the YMCA. They used to allow people to live there. A lot of gay men did that. The Village People made a song about it.

The Federal Government stepping in to fix the 'loneliness' problem :o

Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut: "I believe loneliness is one of America's great modern social and political problems. And so I'm drafting legislation right now to establish a national strategy to combat isolation and promote connectedness. Stay tuned for more details."

Some exclusions may apply, see heterosexual, white men who have been demonized as racists, sexists, privileged, and incels.

He may have the intent to purge the insanity, but unless he hires a private army or mercenary group to take care of the trash, I don't see how he achieves anything.

Chris Murphy is a Democrat for some context here.

The linked article calls for these things to address and "fix" loneliness:
Increase the minimum age of children that technology companies can target with their products, increase social media and tech companies legal liability or the damage their products are doing to kids, social media algorithms being required to "breed less addiction and polarization" is also brought up.

The next paragraph at the bottom wants to restore the health of our local communities and institutions. Economic nationalism and the idea of having jobs that can sustain an entire family-generation after generation is promoted. There is also something about building an updated version of the early to mid 20th century "blue collar aristocracy".

Continuing on from the second point, it would be ideal for one full-time job to provide an adequate living wage, primarily one that is 40 hours a week at most. Federal, state and local government should consider more direct subsidies for community institutions, civic groups and local newspapers. Antitrust policy is also mentioned.

Not all of the things said aren't ultimately terrible points but when thought about for more then a second you can see where potential economic calamity can appear if all of this was to be implemented. A lot of it honestly amounts to wishful thinking and doesn't take important factors into account for why things are the way they are now.

Government creates problem with your tax dollars, offers to fix it with even more of your tax dollars.
