That's sonething you can mitigate to a degree, but only to a degree. The problem with ethanol is that it's hygroscopic; it absorbs moisture from the air, which is generally a bad thing for an internal combustion engine. More than 5% ethanol mix in a fuel leads to corrosion and increasingly poor engine running.

Also older hoses and other rubber parts do not tolerate ethanol well at all in any percentage. Some have probably been replaced by now but there's no guarantee.

It's a small issue but it is indicative of what I see as the root of the failure of "conservatism" to actually conserve anything: the reluctance to reject faulty and bad-faith premises that leftists use to advance their causes. The "conservative" looks at this, might suspect that the argument lacks substance or that the numbers might be wrong, but their pathological need to avoid conflict and be seen as "respectable" overrides any skepticism. You can apply that same line of behavior to every issue that they have caved on over the years, and that's a long list.

Hit the nail on the head. The refusal to call out obvious grifts and complete lies is what destroys "conservatives" and makes them perpetual losers. It's why Trump got ahead, he just ignores such obvious lies and pushes forward. Even if he isn't really that conservative that made it so he would actually stand his ground and resulted in being de-facto conservative.

You know, the bots that reply ~1000 times to every major conservative twitter account within 15 seconds of a post, any post?
Heck, known and confirmed Uniparty judas goat Ann Coulter was spending all her time retweeting one specific one over and over again, which I'd almost think is just Coulter's sock account so she can claim she wasn't REALLY anti-Trump if need be later on.
The gameplan really did appear to be "Trump will be taken out and DeSantis will step in to be the glorious hero that replaces him and leads MAGA back to the plantation to be properly put down so RINO Boomercons can get back to the important duty of selling the country out for their own profit." But it's becoming pretty obvious they can't stop Trump, so they're just slowly losing energy.

It's also amazing to see just how hard DeSantis has worked to destroy his entire image and standing. The only people I still see shilling for him are complete and total delusional centrists. They type to say shit like "I am fine with Trump getting charged as long as we make sure the other side also gets charged" and "we need to appeal to the center guys some people will never vote Trump no matter what but DeSantis might be able to convince them to drop Biden".
