I'm a bit confused about this detail too. I heard married CoE priests who convert (revert?) to Catholicism (re-enter Communion with the Mother Church?) get to keep their wives, but I don't know if that's actually true or what happenrd here.

Thanks, I wondered about that. Catholic priests I thought had to be single, and I assumed that’s why it was an attractive position for paedos.

ETA: Now I want to know why Mr Farrow chose to change churches. @Caroline Farrow can you help here?

Here is a parable from the Bible with a message that feels apt for this situation (and one that Kiwis should take to heart)

(The main message is about prayer, but the message I like more from this parable is that sometimes, bitching works!)

Blue lives matter would be laughed at here. Everyone hates the pigs. The only people who don't are politicians. Tankies and nazis pretty much only agree on TCD.

I think I remember hearing a story about a British police officer that got killed when some dude threw a hand grenade at them, and thinking it was horrible at the time. Now I’m like “Coppers die God laughs”.

Everyone hates the pigs when they're getting pigged on, but bitches when they're not there when they're needed.

Most people in the ACAB camp are outright criminals who hate the pigs because pigs arrest them after they commit crimes.

ACAB and "defund the police" is a joke, because whatever problems there are with policing, reducing the pay and making it even more difficult to do will mean that only the dumbest, shittiest people will even want that job, and that will make the situation of incompetent, violent, and sometimes even outright criminal cops worse.

And then you have whatever the fuck Britain is doing.
