The foederati system when it worked as it was intended wasn't that bad of an idea to supply a fresh supply of soldiers to defend the borders. While to be fair it could be said it was a system of necessity it also wasn't a reliable one. For every Stilicho you had an Odacer, that is to say for every man that wanted to maintain the empire there was one that wanted to destroy it and the latter ultimately succeeded.

In a way this "federati" situation is even more pathetic since it's not like the USA has a shortage of manpower it's just that the armed forces have alienated the people that would usually fight for it and now are trying to encourage individuals that share nothing with the American people or its history to join it and be beholden to it. If push comes to shove they probably won't be reliable but they will try to serve the state.

Benedict literally wrote that the Vatican was debanked because of him actually investigating the pedo shit and trying to oust the German-American Pedo Priest Cabal. John Podesta in the DNC emails literally wanted to smear Benedict into retiring if they could.
