"Slurs" are just words on a list of words that you cannot say. So I will stick to my principles and say that cis is not a slur, because there are no slurs.

What it actually is is part of a much longer attempt to attack the idea of being normal. "Heterosexual", "neurotypical", and "cis" are all words for normal, and they only exist because there's a movement to normalise the pathological and pathologise the normal.

"Cis" is simply the opposite of "trans" (even in areas not related to sexuality, for example, cis-fats and trans-fats), and many trans people refer to themselves as simply "trans", so I'd say no. That doesn' t mean I won't use it to my advantage by getting troons banned or even fired if some authority deems it a slur.

You do realize "cis" is just a Latin prefix going back to Ancient Rome which means "on the same side as". It's nothing new, it's not offensive and I doubt the Ancient Romans spent any of their time bitching about it.

Transpeople don't shout "cis!" at non-trans people on the street to insult them (that I know of).

People do however unfortunately, shout "n***er/p**f/fagg*t/tr**n" etc etc at gay/trans/black people.

My unpopular opinion- the people offended by "cis" aren't oppressed. The ones complaining about it seem to be white, cis-het woops I mean non-trans-het who have never been discriminated against in their lives.

Are you sure? I haven't heard any transperson say "cis women are fake women" or anything along those lines. I've heard people say "transwomen are women".
