Ah, yes, they absolutely need to manufacture a disaster to prevent all the families that come out to the wreck of the Titanic in their 9 figure submersibles and turning it into a watered down picnic site.

I'm also baffled that they didn't have any kind of redundant system to send up multiple types of beacons to the surface. That's absolutely insane, it's already hard enough to search for lost surface ships and planes lost in the ocean, good luck narrowing down the search area for something 12,000ft under.
