Someone said that maybe they tried to arrest him and this is his hail mary, but what if they did arrest him and this is how they play it for internal political reasons since he was quite popular? I wish they'd done it in the morning then, not in the middle of the night.

How difficult would it be snap a selfie?

There's plenty videos by people in the area of military vehicles and he manages to post these somehow so it can't be that the internet is dead. The Russian air force is also busy lobbing long range missiles at Ukrainian cities right this moment, which is strange too.
You'd think they'd have more important targets.

I'm pretty sure this is being done to mask Wagner redeployment. They've shut down the internet because they don't want people posting selfies of where this shit is going. Proghozin loves his theater so he's shitting on his enemies in the MoD to give it a little extra credence.

But now he's claiming to have blown up a Russian helicopter so I don't even know what the fuck is going on.

It's not letting me upload it atm, but there's footage going round on Twitter of someone moving a lot of trucks through Rostov, in the bits that appear to have been closed off on the maps posted previously. I've seen claims of it being Wagner, and claims of it being National Guard. Personally I think it's more likely the latter, but even so it shows something appears to be happening in Russia itself, which to me personally suggests this isn't just shitposting

Should you guys consider separating the Russian topic in two?
One topic to contain the pro-Russia, pro-Shoigu/MOD faction.
One topic to contain the pro-Russia, pro-Wagner/Prigozhin faction.
We don't want the infighting to become too harsh for the forums and mess up the good feelings surrounding these events. Also the containment breaches are a real danger!
