I think there’s a non-trivial faction within the DNC that genuinely wants to run him in 2024, and everyone else is simply running around like headless chickens unable to come up with a better plan. It’s already 2023, if there was going to be another pick for the uniparty to rally behind they would’ve already stepped up to the plate.

It's part of why I think the RFK JR run isn't a joke. Biden hasn't stepped down, bowed out, nor has made any indications to do so. I think the unity that has held them together for so long is beginning to crack.

I understand that the bar had to be set high to prevent abuse but when its so far as to be impossible it causes actors to start acting outside the playground to get their agenda done. There are zero vectors at the moment to correct the insane level of corruption in the legislature and executive branch and its starting to rip society apart. There has never been a super majority in the Senate in opposition to the sitting President, super majorities itself being extremely rare. The notion that one party would be bouncing out Presidents right and left is unfounded.

It’s a total cohencidence that those two “scandals” hit in hopes there’d be some political pressure to get them to step down. If nobody on the right is dying or retiring anytime soon, and they can’t pack the courts, then Plan B is to try to force them out. It didn’t advance beyond point and sputtering but it absolutely would not surprise me that there will be further attempts to shove them out the door.
