I hope Australia and the EU both try to force Twitter to censor cuckservatives like Ngo.
We need to settle these social media moderation "debates". I want the states to step in and regulate them (yes yes read to the end before getting MATI).
The thing is, without state rules which have to be within the law and not ambiguous, we will always have private entities, owners and corporations doing whatever they want and making up ToS as they go. Corporations have proven that they are unable and unwilling to create consistent rules that you could navigate around.
So if a legal battle is forced, it's a win-win IMO.
If states force censorship, all pretenses of liberal democracy are gone, completely, which is good, and also we will know exactly what cannot be said. You cannot deny the Holocaust? Fine, who cares - there are like a gorrillion metaphors with plenty of deniability in front of a court for each of these issues. No longer a tranny janny can just remove you, as states in the West have taken upon that responsibility, and they cannot remove people from such platforms unless they do something illegal.
If Elon and Twitter go rogue, it will create some sort of further reactions on other platforms and will give a precedent of a big corpo going dark on EU and its censorious ways.
Worst that can happen is Twitter and Elon cucking out and simply doing corporate censorship without actual regulations, on demand, basically like now. States will just "suggest" that platforms do it willingly and most will.
Embrace the conflict. Ambiguity like nowadays is the worst. I prefer rules.
