𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I assume Twitter will start using steganography on their internal emails like this one. They can vary word choice and use synonyms, change numbers to words and vice versa and make other subtle changes so every user gets a slightly different email and then when there's a leak they can track exactly who leaked it.
That's barely stego, but it's what is generally called a canary trap. Works pretty well if you only have one leak, but if you have a bunch, and they're collaborating, they can figure out what the differences are and wreck it by adding their own weird variations.

They're Twitter employees.

I hope Australia and the EU both try to force Twitter to censor cuckservatives like Ngo.
We need to settle these social media moderation "debates". I want the states to step in and regulate them (yes yes read to the end before getting MATI).
The thing is, without state rules which have to be within the law and not ambiguous, we will always have private entities, owners and corporations doing whatever they want and making up ToS as they go. Corporations have proven that they are unable and unwilling to create consistent rules that you could navigate around.
So if a legal battle is forced, it's a win-win IMO.
If states force censorship, all pretenses of liberal democracy are gone, completely, which is good, and also we will know exactly what cannot be said. You cannot deny the Holocaust? Fine, who cares - there are like a gorrillion metaphors with plenty of deniability in front of a court for each of these issues. No longer a tranny janny can just remove you, as states in the West have taken upon that responsibility, and they cannot remove people from such platforms unless they do something illegal.
If Elon and Twitter go rogue, it will create some sort of further reactions on other platforms and will give a precedent of a big corpo going dark on EU and its censorious ways.
Worst that can happen is Twitter and Elon cucking out and simply doing corporate censorship without actual regulations, on demand, basically like now. States will just "suggest" that platforms do it willingly and most will.
Embrace the conflict. Ambiguity like nowadays is the worst. I prefer rules.

How is Ngo a cuckservative? Or a cuck of any sort? He's openly stood up and even been seriously injured by retarded fascists for just expressing his views, and wasn't cowed by that. He's anything but a cuck.

horrible but unsurprising
fucking lol
So I was kinda right. Money is money lads.
I would still wait to see the exact laws, keep in mind the EU is not just about censorship, but data and user protections too.
We need the specifics.
Also, most of the censored stuff in the EU (anti-Semitism being at the top) will also get you banned on Twitter, even today.

ok but how is anti-semitism defined
how blatant does it have to be until it gets you banned on twitter vs jailed in the EU
is shit like just putting a 1488 in any context going to get you banned? or do you have to outright start parading around going "FUCK KIKES THEY RUINED EVERYTHING AND PUPPET ALL OUR GOVERNMENTS" until someone takes notice?

Depends on country, who is in power, and how famous you are. If you're a random, you can basically do mostly anything. If you're somebody with an online presence and following, or celebrity, things can change dramatically.
Also in some places all Nazi stuff is banned outright. Where I live also communist stuff is banned, and fascists too. Cannot politically organize around specific fascist, communist or Nazi principles. In practice, you can usually just skirt around the edges, praise past fascist leaders a bit, and the most you'll face is some Jewish NGO seething and condemnations.
I think that in my country a single case was prosecuted, some army/intelligence dude that wrote a book on Jews.
A TL;DR would be - depends on who you are and if you messed with the political stability and EU funds milking at the top by creating a commotion.

I don’t know how true that is. As we saw in the Twitter files the US government was even targeting 20 follower accounts that went against the narrative. I don’t think anyone is safe.
Yeah but this discussion was about EU and government laws, where censorship is less relevant, since we don't have free speech, nor 1A, we have clear laws against discrimination and hate speech, inciting to violence and more.
In the EU the problem is getting fined, or worse, arrested.

Trying to view any tweet bounces me to a login screen. How can Musk believe this is a good idea? Generally about 90% of a site's users are lurkers. Twitter's primary business is allowing people to publish ("microblog") content, and now it will be hidden.

Nitter is still working (for now).

Could be related to their 'updates', but who knows,
Musk had an opportunity to improve things. Instead we're seeing instability, irresponsibility, and lack of professionalism.

Edit: Nitter not working anymore.
