I just wanna be honest with you hombre, and I say this with love, people like Ian never had self awareness and he was always an antisocial reject that didn't know how to act around people.
Papa Franku accidently humanized totally socially retarded people to alot of folks probably around your and my age, because he genuinely was mocking those kind of people and everyone started to forget that the Frank character is based off of real people on the internet. It was an actual parody of what Ian and many other online actually are, taking shots at immature fame obsessed narcissists, overzealous virtue signally asshats, insane people that rant about anything from politics to business without having any actual insight or understanding on the topics.
Many people assumed Ian was playing shit up for the cameras, because back then no one went down the rabbithole and knew who the fuck Ian was, saw him work with Frank, and assumed it was a similar case. Ian is a cunt that wanted to be a let's player in his early 20's, mocked what looks like mentally challenged people shortly after (niggerfaggot came from what I can only assume was someone with some actual impairment from its original video), and content cop is funny but it's also not really as much a joke as I assumed originally (he genuinely hates those people, and I'll admit it was something I didn't initially consider because I assumed it was all parody, but it goes from funny to sad when I think about how this man actually aimed to somewhat stalk Tana because his gf told him to)
He's a immature idiot that never looked at life realistically. He generally doesn't know how to act like a normal adult and is desperate for approval. Once upon a time he leaned super heavily being into the edgiest man on the planet for approval. He was a virgin into his later 20s. Pussy convinced him to be the wokest man on the planet for approval today. He is the most fatherless man to flee America. He thinks he is a genius but has little to nothing to show for it besides bad life choices and punching down at people that most would consider blatantly stupid, has little to no social skills or inteospection, he is to lazy to work hard and lacks discipline towards any goal, he can be convinced to put on any face those around him tell him to, and he holds no actual morals, principles or standards. People mistook his shamelessness for confidence, and his actual opinions as jokes and performances.
And I wrote this out because of the two comments on it I read from you. Ian's documentary being mentioned being part of that. Sam Hyde is an actual comedian like George Miller was. They make up funny skits and pretend to be something vile for cameras and humor. Ian drawing a circle of "irony" is more descriptive of his own content than any of Sam or George's work. For one it's circular logic, saying the irony isn't irony, but I don't think that was his point. Ian doesn't understand other comedians don't actually just use comedy to make others agree with them. Sam's shown in less humorous videos he is more than comfortable trying to explain his beliefs in a sincere manner, and George has done that too. Ian is the only one that never had that type of separate content and it even shows in plenty of his interviews and recent videos.
That was the moment Ian admitted that he tries to use humor to manipulate others into agreeing with him. That's the moment he basically said his old shit had the intention of harassing others. He thinks other comedians do that when they are genuinely hyperbolic for comedies sake.
