Yellen is due to arrive Thursday as part of efforts by the Biden administration to revive relations that have plunged to their lowest level in decades due to disputes about technology, China’s military buildup, human rights and other irritants
What help will that be when Biden undoes all the work with a single speech again?

The USA could never lose its empire. Washington is eternal, favored by the gods!
The US is losing it empire via quite quiting. We are stepping back from policing the world and guarantee international trade with our navy

Fuck we ve retooling our military for 30 fucking years after the ussr failed.

America doesn't need an empire we have the fucking north American continent. In fact in another article posted here China was scolding Korea and Japan telling them they will never be white and should stand with China and not cling to America.

Other countries want the US security protection.

fuck don't you guys agree it's a fucking good thing maybe America should just look after its self and let other parts of the world go back to fighting eachother like they have for 100 s of year?

The US is probably the ONLY Empire in history that did not want to be an Empire and the population universally hates the idea. Had Japan never attacked the US during WWII I have serious doubts the US would have ever become entangled in global power politics in a direct military fashion. Even after WW2 the US immediately tried going dormant again only for the Korean War to drag the US back into geopolitics indefinitely. There is enough material prosperity in the Americas for the US to never have been interested in anything across the ocean, the US literally could just ignore anything other than Central and South America and be perfectly content, its the tard wrangling of braindead warmongering Europeans that has created this problem. If Europeans could suppress their urge to attack and genocide each other the US would probably have a token army just to manage internal strife when it flares up.

Europeans talk a big fucking game about how they're so civilized but every decade or two there is some bullshit revolution, genocide or stupid fucking civil war that flares up. The Americas is a fucking paradise of stability compared to Europe and Africa, even Asia is far more stable than these two hellholes.

America has flirted with empire building on and off for ages; Teddy Roosevelt was all about empire building outside the Americas and generally speaking, America's clocked our empire ambitions under various moral platitudes (like being "the worlds policeman") because deep down we know that the rest of the world fucking fears us, combined with the fact that the Elite deep down know being a proper empire would be too much work and it's easier to have everyone be vassal states with extra steps to make them think they still have sovereignty.

Cool, cool. Maybe she can stop in Taiwan on the way like Pelosi did, this will do wonders to revive relations. Maybe assure the Taiwanese the US values and supports their independence. Ukraine will probably take offense at that, but you can't win them all. Sometimes life makes you choose between friends.

Is "Clare" a tranny? Male pattern baldness and a cheek wider and stronger than Tyson. Thunk-provoking.

To all the faggots that read this from the AFP (Australian Faggot Police)
if I see this tranny in a car crash burning from fuels from the crash:
I WOULDNT EVEN PISS ON HIM TO PUT THE FIRE OUT

Your move, faggots.

No it seems to be another Women that could pass for a tranny and is still bitter no one back in high school wanted to smash.

Is that what you call what we're doing in Ukraine? Looks a whole lot more like floundering to me.

America doesn't need an empire

We do if we want to make Uganda accept faggotry and fund our lavish lifestyle with inflation.

America's people didn't want to be an empire. Its ruling class absolutely did. We didn't "get dragged" into a global empire by accident; our leaders took us there, and adopted new language to hide what they were doing, whether it was Wilson "making the world safe for Democracy," FDR and his Lend-Lease, or Bush and his "War on Terror."

I don't think anyone is saying it can't happen. We're just saying that screeching about how its happening now is a bit Chicken Little in mindset.
While true, people (in general) don't comprehend the 'anything is possible' reality of it all.

There's no natural law that dictates the US or the West (or humanity really) are always going to fine and hunky dory. Paradigms can and will shift. It's not easy to predict when/how/who paradigms shift, but it's naive to pretend they don't.

FFS, the Internet was a big one and the full reproccussions won't be fully known for a while.

There are people who are unable to make the connection unless it is explicitly laid out for them. Because we don’t outright call ourselves an empire, therefore we’re not one. We do everything up to declaring ourselves one but because we don’t actually declare it, therefore it doesn’t count. Now if Ukraine or even countries like Bolivia, Iran, Pakistan and Venezuela (the list goes on and on) don’t do what we want, we overthrow their leaders but we’re totally not an empire, guys. God help any NATO country that dares to have an independent thought - several countries just used up all their defense weaponry for Ukraine because we asked them to, because we’re such nice guys.

I occasionally break the programming by asking whether it would be an act of war for China to hit our territory with a missile strike in response to something they see as an abuse of power by our state, or whether it would have been an act of war for Russia to supply BLM/antifa with automatic weapons and MANPADs so they could overthrow the government.

Sometimes, the light goes on, but frequently, the response is, "but I did eat breakfast this morning."

That's nice. Now how many people are going to be put into those jobs?
I don't know how widespread this is but a friend in food service claims this is a bait and switch thing where they advertise $15 an hour and then sneakily have you sign a contract saying it's only fifteen for three weeks or whatever then it drops back down to minimum wage.

Any service wagies able to confirm that?

I mean the sign in the pic has an asterix at the end saying "details when applying", wouldn't be surprising if that was what they meant.

All fast food places are apparently desperate for help, there's signs outside and inside the place. Some of those signs mentioning you being able to get the money the same day as your work shift if you really needed it.

Hell, places like Domino's have an offer where they pay the person that ordered the food from their Domino's app to pick it up themselves. It's fucking weird.

Yes, the banners I've see are 15/hour for the first 40 hours, then back to the normal for the company.

At this point these are supplemental jobs for income that never returned after the Chyna virus, these are not new jobs. And in a month or two they will be revised down. That 497,000 will turn out to be 200,000.
Who do they expect to do these jobs exactly? Niggers steal, sell drugs, and collect welfare. Illegals do cleaning and construction/labor both of which pay more than 7.25/hr.

Does a labor pool even exist for this shit in 2023?

I just corpos would be honest and say what they really want which is slave labor.
