Brother, I've been waiting for Helek since I picked up a volume on a vacation a while back. Fucking amazing. Absolute 10. The voices are stunning, visuals great, and it has that old school fantasy vibe, with 80's style looking babes and our lad, Conan incarnate but better

I watched Akiba Maid War recently, I'd highly recommend it. Just don't go in expecting a straight comedy, it only starts that way. I think it's also evidence for my theory that anime originals utilize their chosen medium better than manga adaptations in general, some remarkable exceptions notwithstanding.

As for upcoming releases, I'm excited about Friren, but that's because I've been reading the manga. They don't even have to do anything outstanding, they just have to adapt it competently and it'll be one of the best if the year.

Original> manga> light novels > multimedia projects
50% of the time with manga, 90% of the time with light novels, the adaption is just an ad. The worst is when they stretch a single volume over 12 episodes, as in the case with Sabikui Bisco, Sakugan, and Full Dive.

Visual Novels are the opposite, begging for adaptions so you don't HAVE to sink 70+ hours into Fate stay night to know the story (I am currently, it's good)

You know you can be optimistic so much when you can look at these fictional characters in these two trailers and tell that the voice actor fits the characters in question, and you have yet to see the full anime.

That’s how you know how good these two are going to be, especially with the latter.
I wonder how they are going to adapt this panel.

The first episode of Temple was released this past week, and after getting up to the recent chapter of the manga, I am really hoping that it’s good.

In fact, I also found out that they released the music videos for both the opening and ending theme of the anime:

the problem with the anime convincing people to read the manga and the manga convincing people to read the light nove is that then you end up reading the novels on syosetu using your browser's built in translator.

And it does not do pronouns well

The only Fate I've ever watched is Fate Zero, and that was really good. Should I watch the Stay/Night anime or is it better to play the Visual Novel?

Feels like the summer season started a bit late. To add to the new shows that seem interesting, I've found Synduality Noir and The Great Cleric to be interesting based off the first episodes.

It doesn't really matter tbh, Fate is a shounen and stay/night has questionable writing at points.

Go read the Tsukihime Remake and mourn the fact that the wrong franchise became popular.

Love Live! managed to reach a new level of :lunacy: with their merchandise, with this ¥390k (~$2700 USD) 1/13 scale Silver Keke Tang, thing:

Apparently, Japanese fans are finding this to be too much, cost-wise, and even Chinese fans of Keke Tang don't like this either.
Someone has to keep the Love Live Idol hype train going. As much as I loved their spin off series before this one, I’m just surprised that they did not do this much for The iDOLM@STER series.

After the trannylation of Dark Gathering, I hope HI-DIVE doesn't fuck up Helck either.
I didn't see any political/gender shit un the episode. What did they change?

Unless they get multiple seasons VN adaptions suck. You need like a season per 10 hours of reading for it to be tolerable and even then it spoils the point if it's not a linear story.
