"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

I'm about 25 minutes into "The Sound of Freedom" and the dialogue is really just awful, among other aspects such as the editing. I don't know how much of this can be written off as an indie studio divorced from hollywood but I can say it's much easier to make a case for the amateurish execution of the dialogue rather than the subject matter or conspiracy angle. It's seriously like someone who has never written anything before just decided to sit down and write a story about child sex trafficking one day, which is probably not too far off of what actually happened.

I don't remember hearing about any passed out rape tape, though he doesn't have to suck up to him or even pretend to like him. I just think it could be an entertaining shitshow if they talked, even if Null just repeatedly calls him a retarded faggot the whole time.

yo Null, whoever was bothering you in chat for skipping Fatrick content is right, I believe, you used the NBC News segment twice on the previous two episodes but Piggy was also on Inside Edition last week which I'm fairly certain you didn't show on MATI. It's funnier than the other one because they include the honeymoon recreation photos and a very unflattering caricature of him.

The movie is okay. I think it tackles the subject well with restraint (the child actors never are treated like Shelly Duvall in The Shining) and it has some good scenes that disgust you and let you feel catharsis. The opening credits was basically a cut of actual liveleak videos where kids are just nabbed in broad daylight.

It’s shot competently and most characters are acted well, but the it does suffer from being really Christian in a few scenes. I really like Jim Caviezal (Kuh-v-zel) as an actor, if you’ve never seen the Count of Monte Cristo go watch that it’s probably his best role. He also calls the global finance system evil openly and basically was blacklisted in Hollywood because he stood by Mel, Elia Kazan, and called out them standing up for Roman Polanski.

Edit: to clarify on the really Christian thing. Like Evangelical Christian just whipping out how they thank Jesus out of no where. It’s very hard to naturally talk about the Christian idea of this being a fallen world and how only by the grace of God are we allowed redemption. There’s like two scenes that dive into this and one is like 5 minutes, but it’s not God’s Not Dead tier.

While it is funny that it seems like he's only concerned with correcting the record involving himself, I think we should be charitable and simply assume he's busy with random shit until he denounces josh in public as an alleged pedophile and bully in chief.

Yeah he's busy drinking until three and driving his kid at six, way to fast in his midlife crisis mobile. Or maybe he's spending another holiday on Twitter, arguing with randos, likely drunk. Or hitting on fans openly, or high on molly at a gay bar, or at a Jamaican swinger sex hotel. His life is so hard.

Kirk Cameron, 80's sitcom star-turned-Christcuck, makes a lot of independent films like Saving Christmas that make it into theaters to minor success. Most people go it meme on them or are religious fundies, but he hasn't been bankrupted by them and has quite a few under his belt. Independent movies are an interesting project to see what makes them float.
