People don’t hate trans people, really. Realistically, there are so many things we have to take care of daily, what some no-name person does with their life is not even a tangentially worth your time. I have a late payment on my car insurance, I’m not thinking about some 24 year old lad cutting his dick off and sporting a wig, that is not factoring into anything of immediate importance in my life. You see a poorly passing trans person on the street and you might think “Fuck, that’s a bit weird” but you’re going right back to whatever it is you’re doing because you don’t actually give a shit.

What people hate is when you take your weird, personal stuff and you foist it on them.
