Sounds more like they're selling at near-cost rather than at a loss. They've got a lot of capital locked up in slow-moving product, so liquidating it at cost at least gets you most of the money back, even if you don't make a profit. At least, if I were in that position, that's what I'd be doing.

Put simply, people that are just getting into computers, usually younger, and want to see this badass tech bro break the rules and do his own thing (even tho he's a idiot). I think we should remember that it's cheap entertainment by people who pretend they're tech wizards.

Imagine a video where they buy a watercooling system, study the directions and successfully install it. If they include all details in the video that would be too long and not action filled enough for the YouTube and TikTok generation whose attention span barely lasts for more than 10 minutes.

But a video where they ignore the rules and do what they think is fun. They can cut out the slow and boring parts, you get an arc of suspense and people who know nothing about tech learn something new "don't do what they just did"
