The issue is you have a specific outcome you want to occur, which is preventing you from taking stock of things honestly. There's been several times I've asked myself what I'd do if I were suddenly Ralph and this situation is more than survivable depending on what he does.
If he stays fucked up on booze and pills, it is in fact over though. Rehab is the only way Ralph is going to get his lost donators back and keep from dropping dead at an embarrassingly young age.
