The last interview show I tuned into had all the potential to be a decent show, but Nick added basically nothing to it. It felt... competent? But that was it. Whatever pizazz that Balldo used to have that let me enjoy his content in a normal manner is gone now.

From what I can tell, he has initiated containment protocol so it does not pervade every show. Fridays seem to be (from clips) almost as much of a mess.

Your opinion of his past interviewing skills comports with my recollection, but I now question if Nick ever had that X-factor in interviews, or if I am projecting my past liking for him. The unironic balldo and 'FUCK YOU, LEAVE!' to long-term fans sours me. I almost want to like his good content, but I cannot.

I can't recall who mentioned this, but someone noted that the vtuber fandom was crazy invested. I went back and took a look at the general activity of Elissa clips from pre-coomering, Pipa slapfight, and post coomering.

These are very rough estimates since I didn't bother with napkin math.

It's very obvious there's been a pickup of activity compared to his earlier spiral. The earliest Monty videos had like 30 comments. The tone has also shifted pretty heavily. It used to be just TIC and the regularly shitting on him but almost everyone is mocking him now, compared to telling him to pull up.


tl;dr Nick being a dronkie and getting railed harder than a franse by 28s gets more views and mockery.

Might have to watch that vod without reading the thread prior. That is leaning very heavily into drama channels with those two performers, this is like casting some unhinged characters for a reality show to get the early episodes going. I can't imagine he is planning some boring hugfest, who would be the target audience for that? In the past Nick would get two weirdoes with opposing views and pretend to let the show derail like he was Jerry Sprigner (and it worked), but when the host is also vulnerable and not above the material, it may get proper bad.

From the YT/Rumble logs, it looks like 200 USD is a GOOD night for chats. I am not sure his current audience is incentivised to chat. Hate chats are something different, but not sustainable.
