Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

For some reason, Ameribag (the orthopedic purse people) have priced their patterned bags in reverse order of how much the patterns rule.

I unironically love the Health Back Bag; the secret is not just the shape, but a whole lot of pockets sewn into the lining so it distributes the load evenly inside the purse, not just one heavy weight at the bottom. If you buy one, you want a small. Small is plenty big; Medium is diaper bag-sized.

I went to walmart to buy some diapers because we were running low and decided to browse the clearance section before leaving. There, I saw that they had a digimon pet like they used to have back in 1998 that were shaped like a brick cage with the bars broken off. It was on clearance for $5, so I bought it for nostalgia’s sake.

Dunno if this counts but I have a galaxy9 phone from 2018 I'm still using, finally upgrading this week.
I'm up for a new phone too; my current phone is working fine, but the cracks in the screen are so bad that at some point soon the touch function will stop working. Because it's such an old phone and the cost of replacing the screen is so high, I'm better off buying an entirely new phone. But since I'm poor it's going to be such a massive hassle to find something both affordable and suitable.

Every I buy a new mobile, I also get an incredibly autistic and daggy flip cover that latches shut with a magnet, because I'm a clumsy fuck who drops everything. When the flip cover on my current mobile gave up the ghost, I said to myself, it'll be okay until I can get another cover, I'll just be really, really careful until then. Twenty minutes later, the mobile hits the ground and I now have seven years worth of bad luck and a firm need for a new mobile.

Fuuuuuuuck.

I literally just buy the toughest ugliest case I can find, I don't even care what color the actual phone is. Incidentally my phone is also cracked just slightly in the corner despite having the toughest case I could buy. My old phone is getting very buggy and slow, the battery is absolute shit, barely lasts 2 hours without a charge. I only kept the thing so long because it works with weird apps that I need in my line of work but, it's not worth it dealing with this POS anymore. I specifically wanted something new that worked well with galaxy smart-tags so I could track my dog if he gets loose and my cars if they ever get stolen.

I bought one of these "Ultra-Tacticool-Military-Glownigger-Grade-Throw-It-Off-A-Building-LQQK" phone cases that'll probably give me hand cancer from some chink seller on Amazon. Of course i only did this after i dropped my phone like a moron and had to pay out the ass for getting the screen fixed. I'm almost ashamed to whip out this shit in public now.

Edit: Sweet, i'm not the only phone-dropping retard around here!

It's also got a bunch a bunch of unreleased games, foreign releases, unofficial releases, games prototypes and funny ROM hacks - the best of which easily being 'Abnormal Family - Butt Babies and Tranny Tramps'; a hack for the Sega Genesis.

I love those kind of ROM hacks. The classic era of edgy ROM hacking was the best. It was just schizo, purposeless edginess and it's great. baddesthacks.net is a great place for that stuff.

Anyway, I purchased this. It's a used Chinese riot stick. Probably used to beat Hong Kong protesters or people that tried to take a piss during company time or something. Also a surplus FEMA body bag. Why? Because it was pretty cheap and seemed fun to have.

Edit: I just realized I accidently replied to a 5 year old post when I thought I was replying to a new one. Oh well. Those ROM hacks still rule.

That extra-dark Donkey Kong is a nice touch :story:

Motorola has a bunch of completely usable handsets that are fine for most things and don't break the bank. The current G-Power 5G is $229 at Amazon unlocked and does all the normal phone shit while also having a 5Ah battery.

Thank you, I'll check them out. I had a Motorola mini brick in the early 2000s and wasn't particularly impressed, but twenty years have gone by, it wouldn't hurt to look.

More books. Very autistic books, as it happens.

1. A book on bones. Haven't read it yet, but it has glorious full page art photographs of skeletal structures from dinosaur and mammal fossils to extant animal horns to shells to individual bones to articulated bones. I fucking love bones, they're fascinating.
2. An adult colouring book. Very autistic indeed.
3. An X-Men trade. Peak autism, only losing to phone books in terms of sheer autismal weight.

Don't know if this counts, but it's a CD from 11 years ago.

See, there's this song I like that came out in 2012, and I used to have an mp3 of it from back then and I listened to it all the time. Somewhere along the way I lost the file, but it doesn't matter as much because like anyone in the modern age I listen to my music on a streaming service most of the time. HOWEVER, shortly after the album released (maybe a year or so) the label fucked up the mix so that everything was louder (because music's just been doing that lately) and now the background vocals pick up over the regular vocals. It doesn't make the main vocals impossible to hear, but the entire mix is off and it sounds like hot garbage and I FUCKING hate it. Literal tard-rage about it. So I'm hoping when this old CD shows up, it'll have the original mix and I can have a CD-quality version of the MP3. I can download it from regular YouTube lyric videos from around the time, but I'm just certain there's artefacting in there that I can barely pick up on and it's driving me crazy. I want it to be in high quality, I want the ORIGINAL mix, and I literally went out of my way to buy a used CD just to have this ONE song the way it was MEANT to be before a friggin' suit decided it needed to be louder for no good reason.

Anyway here's the song for anyone interested. Here's the original mix, and the loud mix the label's switched all their official uploads to. (inb4 someone is like "I can't hear a difference and you're crazy, Chromeo" shut up I hear the difference and it's like accidentally grinding your nails on the sidewalk.)

(edit: all the links are clearnet I'm sorry)

A converter box from Walmart so I can hook a Blu ray player's HDMI cable into the component (red white yellow) ports in the back of my 480p CRT TV. Picture isn't half bad, colors are quite bright in a good way
There's something about using an old CRT TV that is irreplaceable, maybe it's nostalgia, but one day I want to buy a PS5 and the new Gran Turismo or the Resident Evil 4 remake and hook it up to relive the old days. The only issues are that the text is kinda hard to read since graphical fidelity has gone up since then.
