That’s exactly who he is, and it’s plausible that he only set his newspaper up in the first place to “own the libs” - as represented by the Hedberg family.
It must have been a bit awkward to have to buy his office from them.

Anyway the newsflash here is his comment that the Hedbergs Senior “are leaving their house and property to the Tenacious Unicorn Ranch”.
Wild if true. I mean, not if Bonnie has anything to do with it, but we might get another season yet.

Crazy to think that after all the failed grifts they might get not one but two ranch estates handed to them on a plate from elderly boomers.

Edit to add: I bet Penny’s customer for the house-flipping renovations and sketchy landscaping work were Jordan Hedberg’s parents. Remember the comment about them being retiree liberals who were glad to find some non-chud labor? By adapting to whatever they needed despite it not really making business sense or lasting beyond those few jobs, he’s possibly got tight with them.

I've been keeping an eye out for more news about Ash Coyote's "We Are Tenacious" documentary, but I haven't seen anything new.
It was shown at these film festivals (below) in May/June, but it didn't win any awards. Can't find any reviews, either.

It’s crazy how they just don’t give the first shit about stuff like this, even on Penny’s parents own land.
How hard would it be to move the animals once they’ve nibbled the grass down to like lawn-height, so that it can re-grow? It’s not like there’s been a shortage of rain this year.

There’s no bare earth anywhere else nearby , even fields with horses, goats, cattle or alpaca grazing them.

There's no way someone can seriously believe Ben Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson alone couldn't pass modern high school if they were granted a modern childhood with access to the information that entails rather than transported through time and immediately asked to do it. I bet the ones I named could do this, not because I worship the Founders but because high school standards aren't more rigorous than what those guys studied on their own. They probably could even figure out the hardest part, the science, because they understood the science of their time and we haven't exactly overthrown most of the basic general knowledge there. Franklin and Jefferson probably would love modern high school biology and chemistry, they would already know the physics for the most part. All these dudes did math without calculators lmao, and not a single one of them ever ran a failed ranch with mass graves.
