because dont forget, when it comes to the Nimitz incident, we were only given what we were given + Fravers claims
the claim was there was not only 1 tictac, the claim was that there were fleets of them, consistently, in training grounds, and that this was just 1 incident with 1 tictac
Rep. Burchett had a talking point about military pilots deleting footage because they don't want to report a sighting and be grilled by their superiors. Specifically for "8 hours". So we can pretty much guarantee that one of these Navy guys is going to talk about that. There could be a Nimitz incident happening daily and nobody wants to report it, and valuable data is thrown in the trash.

Apparently, they don't care if they've made little effort to retrieve their crashed and landed trash (our treasure)
If Roadside Picnic is a good intellectual exercise on the topic, they literally just left some trash on the way to do something else and don’t notice or care about the ants dragging the leftover crumbs to their tunnels.

Question... Do the UAP types of people fall to any specific side, politically? Or is it (curious) nuts on both sides? A lot of the more serious takes come from military types, so Republicans mostly. This isn't really a political issue, but with the government dedicating time (and thus money) to these hearings, imagine if it became a party issue lol.

I've followed this stuff for a long time, but I think things are starting to get serious.

@Kupier from what ive seen, its always been both sides interested and often come together on this topic
but at the moment the recent push does seem to be from the rep side for whatever reason, though we dont have any dems shutting it down or anything either
its one of those curiosity things that comes from so much media about UFOs and aliens etc
and yeah, whatever is happening at the very least sounds much more serious than any other previous happenings surrounding this topic
im sceptical but ive been in it for the long haul as well, just wanna see how this pans out

apologies for the double post
a new Event Horizon podcast episode has come out, 52 mins long, very interesting topics
Robin Hanson, as in "The Great Filter" as well as "Grabby Aliens", is being interviewed about the nitty gritty of what he means by both in detail
these 2 things are a staple of this topic especially as of recently, so i figured i would post it
"Grabby Aliens The Worst Case Scenario With Robin Hanson"

I found a strange mistake.

He correctly says most stars are longer lived.
But those are brown and red dwarves which are usually very solar storm active.

This would either strip the atmosphere at worst, or at best carrington the planet so hard that its unlikely they could get an electric civilisation going.

The second is the rare earth hypothesis, just how many civilisations exist? We got the filters of life, multicellural life, intelligent life.

So I would say most life is bacterial, and many intelligent ones may lack the tools to get to space. Imagine a bad atmospheric chemistry, or well dolphins.

Also, zookeeper ayy lmao, if you want me as your little aryan purebred, I require tendies and TP and AC. Headpats are not required but appreciated.

looks like we have some unfortunate news
the Pentagon is reporting that witnesses have backed out, including "NASA" as a whole
these are the only witnesses left, and you may see why this is an issue
all 3 have already fully told their full stories except for Grusch giving the actual proof of his claims he said he had
so essentially, we will hear nothing from these 3 people that we havent already heard before unless Grusch points to the aylmaos
all we can hope is they provide any shed of evidence to go along with the testimonies we have already heard before

So they were either threatened or this entire thing was an elaborate hoax?

So they were either threatened or this entire thing was an elaborate hoax?
god damnit i forgot to add something at the end
yes so that is what that side is saying now, on multiple different platforms (looking at videos all over atm) that the Pentagon is "soft threatening" witnesses, is what theyre saying now yes
theyre saying theyre not directly threatening just establishing contact and reminding them of X Y Z to do with X Y Z, which may be threatening i dont know
i could imagine being threatened by that, but im siding with elaborate hoax but i am jaded and spent on this topic lol

I don't like Hansons assumption that if we do discover ayy lmao here it means they are trying to tell us not to start colonizing space ourselves. Even if he is correct on their intent they would have to understand the necessity of contacting us directly and offering an insurance policy. The entire point of colonizing other planets is to provide a backup plan incase an asteroid or nuclear war fucks this planet all up. The idea that we would risk loosing the only life we know exists in the universe simply because we verified the existence of flying saucers is way too insane for an advanced species to believe. They would understand that even if we know there are advanced craft we don't know those craft originated on an alien world so we would have to keep trying to create a failsafe for life.

The only way to guarantee we don't go grabby ourselves is to tell us directly that either we can go anywhere in the solar system but if we go to another star we are dead or we can't go anywhere but they will guarantee our safety.

i dont like it much either, it sounds cool, but its a little too sci-fi for me, and its knowing way too much about something nobody knows anything about, just a wild guess
i think the main reason for that claim about warnings about being grabby mostly come from a lot of media/books on the topic that have become popular recently
because mass is finite, it could be deduced that aliens know this too, therefor could see any aliens who expand as extreme threats to all life in the universe

We knew about this yesterday. We definitely can't expect too much from this hearing, but it will generate more buzz unless there is significant retardation afoot, which is possible given some of the Reps involved. Whatever testimony Grusch has given behind closed doors will be more important. He could actually name names that get followed up on. But he might have more to say in the public hearing than what was shown in the edited down version of the full 3.5 hour NewsNation interview.

I can handle some more stonewalling and delays, I would only be truly disappointed if the central allegations of aliens visiting Earth and the US possessing their spacecraft are false. It would be a little disappointing if certain people did not live to react to those claims being proven true. Start making a list.

Also, if this topic gets a subforum, I nominate "Earth Orbiters" for the name.

either way we will know soon enough, im not going to be buying anything other than Davids original claims and it sounds like you wont either
if he goes on to say anything different i dont see how he will be able to recover from that
remember, the other 2 people, their claims are very believable, and there is "some" "proof" to their claims (that we havent seen yet probably classified), or atleast a strong level of credibility
but this David guy said some wild shit, and if he doesnt bring that same energy? oof, gonna be a rough day

I want to talk about Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick a little bit.

/threads/uap-ufo-military-pentagon-harvard-nasa-academia-event-analysis-ongoing-news.113946/post-16398797
(25:53)
Grusch: Well, I know Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, known him for about eight years. And, you know I expressed some concerns to Dr. Kirkpatrick about a year ago, and told him what I was starting to uncover. And... he didn't follow up with me, and he has my phone number, he could have called me. I hope he ultimately does the right thing. He should be able to make the same investigative discoveries I did. It's totally crazy if he doesn't.

Coulthart: So the implication here is that the head of the very body that Congress has ordered to tell the American public the truth about UAPs, is possibly misleading the American public. Do you think the American public is being lied to.

Grusch: Well, they've been lied to over the years, and I'm hoping that the lies stop.
Kirkpatrick was the only person who Grusch named and shamed on TV, so I can't imagine he's very happy about that. He did an exclusive interview with ABC. The headline that came out of this was "Extraterrestrial 'technical surprise' is top concern" (originally reported as "technical supremacy"), but he also gave his low energy denial.

(6:19)
Devin Dwyer: You can say categorically you've seen no convincing, confirmable evidence it's intact spacecraft kept by the US government.

Kirkpatrick: No. I have seen nothing that leads me to that conclusion.

Dwyer: Is it possible there is some secret program that you're just not aware of?

Kirkpatrick: I don't think so. I have access to anything and everything I need.

Dwyer: Why do you think these whistleblowers are coming forward?

Kirkpatrick: Well, one, I think the recent law which extended whistleblower protections to them and named AARO as the authorized disclosure authority, opens the door for them to come and tell us exactly what they think they they saw or know about.

Dwyer: You believe them?

Kirkpatrick: I believe that they believe what they're telling me and I, my job is not to... it's not a question of belief right, it's a question of what can I go research.

This private information is unavailable to guests due to policies enforced by third-parties.
Who are these 30 individuals? Probably the totality of who AARO has ever interviewed, and not Grusch's sources. We've already heard that insiders don't trust AARO.

it sounds to me like they only had people like David turn up, which likely make Kirkpatrick sceptical of the whole thing
i would be surprised if they had a single witness who said "i saw the craft in person with my own eyes in this hanger bay"
Kirkpatrick is 100% upset, no doubt, David went over his head to the media of all places and named him so no doubt hes angry
it will probably force Kirkpatrick to be a bit more honest now that everybody is watching after his naming and shaming

Reading that article, and having seen how people's reactions since 2017 have been as well... that's kind of concerning to me. So we're looking at a ring of glowies confirming each others stories, pressuring both sides of congress during a period of high political unrest, utilizing the press and media to convince the masses their circle has access to secrets and powers exceeding government availability. Shit sounds like an attempt to make a new Scientology / Heaven's Gate inside the government itself.
