Since when do people make museums about starving?
To make bank at the cafeteria located near the exit.

Considering how influential they've been in this war, no surprise Russia is doing this. They do seemingly take their mandatory service seriously. I'm curious to see what other nations like South Korea learn from this affair in regards to training their own mandatory service members.

To be fair I think a museum for the Holomodor is a good idea. The problem is I don't trust the current UA government to be doing it justice or represent the thing in a honest manner, and of course the fact that they are using foreign money instead of their own makes it a complete non-starter of a idea.

Shouldn't there already be a museum for that? Pretty much every ex-USSR nation has museums about the communist atrocities;

US military dogs that are trained to attack for special forces use are all euthanized at the end of deployment as they aren't fit for normal life. The only dogs available for adoption are those used for searching explosives, contraband, etc.

Wow as if I needed MORE reasons to hate the Antichrist!

They didn't include that scene in Army Dog.

Though I do wonder how did Army Dog ever return to normal life after burning a village filled with chink babies in Nam.

Wait so NATO > US Constitution??

The NATO charter even says it is supposed to defer to domestic policy.

Well boomers going to keep on voting for old fossils that don't give a fuck about them.

Then its no surprise where we are at.

I don't keep up with anything other than a general overview of the war, so I'm hoping I'm not retreading ground already covered with the following question. What was the goal of throwing so many troops into the meat grinder of Bakhmut? I recall reading reports that the US was advising them to quit wasting resources on defending it, yet Zelensky was deadset on fighting there even though it served no strategic purpose. Did they seriously think they were going to hold on to it or was it some stupid pride thing?
Ukraine is a country with an actor at its head and he took many of his friends into government with him. As a result, Zelensky is obsessed with fighting the war like an actor would, hence the massive emphasis on script, costume and optics. This worked really well because the Western media lapped it all up. The script says that Ukraine wins and that Bakhmut will never fall and he's desperate to keep the flow of cash and weapons going. So in March, he overruled the in-process withdrawal from Bakhmut (Ukraine had even bombed one of the bridges exiting Bakhmut) and goaded by Prigozhin, he reinforced a 3-way firebag when Russia had artillery superiority.

Not only do F-16s need an absolutely pristine runway, they require 68% more crew maintenance hours than a MiG-29.

There's no way they can be based in Ukraine. If they're based in Poland, that's a really escalatory move and the world won't blink an eye if Russia hits the bases to retaliate. Plus, if they're based in Poland, they'll have to get topped off after they take off to make it to Eastern Ukraine and back (small combat radius) and that'll be clearly visible to radar in Belarus not to mention A-50 AWACS.
F-16s for many many reasons are not very likely, not because the West doesn't want to risk nuclear war but because there are some hard limits in the way.

If they are based in Poland, they will not reach frontlines unless fully laden with fuel and next to no combat loadout elements. I am talking internal fuel, CFTs, and three drop pods.
If this is the case - F16s can't be based in Ukraine and can only fly from Poland to shoot off standoff weapons cause they don't have the range to do anything else - what the fuck is everyone fapping to F-16s for?

You can't fire a stand-off weapon off such laden F-16 because stand-off weapons are reserved to the pylons that would be needed for the fuel.

People are fapping for F-16 the same reason why they did for HIMARS, Javelins, Bayraktars, Leopards, and Bradleys. Wunderwaffe that'll change the course of war. You know, like this thing.

Realistically the first step would be to knock out the Russian SAM sites in Belarus, but yeah that would cause a lot of political problems. Apart from playing some competitive dodge the SAM, I don't know what F16 can realistically do.

How long do we think Russia can keep up the Operation I know lots of Western Talking heads are foaming at the mouth about muh counter offensive but at least from what I've seen we seem to be moving much closer to a war of attrition then anything else.
