Ann Coulter is literally paid to push the Uniparty's agenda on the right. When the Clinton Campaign (and thus, the uniparty) wanted Trump, Coulter was on Bill Maher's show singing his praises, to the open mocking derision of everyone on the show. She sat there and ate shit for it and Maher let her eat that shit, because the incredulous looking sheboon on the panel played up for the camera, all because that's what they felt would sell Trump to the GOP base.
The SECOND the system decided the best way to defeat Trump was to slow walk him so he couldn't actually do anything his entire term, her tune changed to "You know he still hasn't built the wall?" And constant spamming of that on every TV show that would let her on. It was designed to demoralize and shatter his support.
The SECOND the system decided that Meatball was a perfectly good soy MAGA imitation substitute, her entire twitter feed became constant 24x7 automated retweeting of DeSantis agitprop from other Hello-Fellow-Conservatives tier influencers from the uniparty. This is because she's a burned asset now, and will be for at least a few more years before who and what she is is properly memory holed.
She's saying DeSantis isn't doomed because her handlers want to try and keep the DeSantis investment going for a little while longer. If only to damage Trump and waste his time and energy and resources.
Remember, they don't have to beat Trump, they just have to drag him down so the rigging looks believable to enough NPCs that there's not enough political will to overturn it.
Her entire career is working as a Uniparty shepherd for the right. Either tricking the right into wasting their time and energy on things that don't matter, or propping up crazies to smear opposition to the uniparty, or poisoning the discourse on the right with insane ideas.
When 9/11 happened, days afterwards Ann was in the papers explaining that what we RELALY need to do is kill all the Muslims in the world and put their children in Christian orphanages. She was fired for this. It was on every news station in the US. Completely unacceptable!
... But it sure made Operation Iraqi Freedom sound reasonable in comparison, didn't it?

On paper, we can strike and we can actually try to do something. In practice, well, the "Good Ol' Boys" down at the Union Hall are too do-nothing to actually make anything happen. I've worked a number of Union jobs, and it's the same problem here that I've seen elsewhere; people who've been around since before the Berlin Wall fell and really don't seem to accept that times have changed. The new generations of workers aren't really down with Foremen who are pricks, or a work environment that shaves two days off your life every day you work. There's a recognition that we're almost literally the only guys you can actually get to work a job like this anymore, that most people would prefer a service job or welfare, and without us it would come crumbling down. We just want the Company to give us the safe working conditions they have always claim we are supposed to have because we know we could just leave and get it elsewhere.
What's bothersome is that we all saw what Joe Biden did when the Railworkers were going to strike. There's a real risk of us getting fucked too as @Snekposter mentioned. That being said, historically we have striked, but the days when that kind of thing were tolerated might be over. The Government is growing less tolerant of us proles acting out after all. I can't imagine how bad it is in other jobs, we at least get paid decent, as far as I can figure, a lot of places don't even have that going for them.
The sooner an actual Workers' Movement can be restarted, the better it will be for all of us Workers in this country. Unfortunately, the low-level organization we do have is too limited to actually achieve much yet, and I'm afraid it's going to take a lot to convince enough people to cut out the DEI shit and get focused on the actual problems without entangling race and gender into it.

The problem is that anyone running in 2024 has to run on being Not Trump. What kind of compelling Not Trump message can DeSantis, or anyone else that matter, come up with? In 2028, he can run on being Trump Plus, Trump Younger, Trump The Second, etc. There's no viable message for 2024, because the base wants Trump, period.

Thing is, the Uniparty could stay in power with few problems if they'd just throw populists a bone every now and then. Y'know, do what they were elected to do. Some noblesse oblige would go a long way.
But like the Romanovs and Bourbons, they refuse to give even an inch that would compromise their opulent lifestyles. And the longer they continue to do so, the more likely it becomes that people have enough and chimp out.
The bread and circus can only get you so far. Those who make peaceful change impossible will make violent change inevitable.

Unpopular opinion, but MAGA feels more of a gift in itself thanks to social response of illicting reactions through low effort posting, racial insensitivity, and anti social behavior. See Nick Fuentes as an example.
