I hate to agree with Keffals but a little bit of chorizo won't hurt a cat. The issue with it is the salt levels are essentially inline for human consumption. So too much salt for the cat can lead to salt poisoning but that's only of you're feeding your cat a lot of cured meat. It's not like a dog where even a little bit of chocolate is toxic. We literally feed cats ground up assortments of random animal parts, it's weird to to clutch your pearls over a bit of cured meat.

I can't believe you guys would make up a rumor that Keffals murdered a cat. What's next running around to mainstream media outlets like The Washington Post and NBC claiming that Keffals murdered a cat? Harassing companies to tell them Keffals murdered a cat? I just think that's wrong, to go around and lie that Keffals murdered a cat. Imagine if Keffals had murdered a cat, that would be terrible and Keffals would be rightly disliked for murdering a cat. But murdering a cat isn't what Keffals did so I don't think we should say that Keffals murdered a cat. Definitely we should not raise money because Keffals murdered a cat. A little bit of chocolate does not kill a dog either. It'd need to eat a large amount, just like the example with the cat needing to eat a lot of cured meat. A little bit of chorizo for a cat is the same as a little bit of chocolate for a dog. They both won't cause the animal to die. It's still stupid to do, though.

A single grape can kill a dog. I wouldn't be surprised if this stupid fucker does that at some point. The chemicals used in curing are pretty bad for cats though. Sort of like a single slice of pepperoni, though, a tiny bit of chorizo probably won't kill them.

Garlic and usually onions are commonly used. Some use spices too. None of these are good for cats.

Lucas did something stupid and fed something he shouldn't have to a cat, sure. What gets me is someone politely points that out to him and instead of taking two seconds to Google it to see that the first result says, "no retard, don't do that" he just says he's right.

All the moron had to do to not look like an asshole is say, "Oh, thank you for telling me, my mistake. I will not feed bad things to the cat again."

Thank you! I *literally* had offered my cat a little piece of sausage just as I was reading this thread yesterday/whenever the sausage discussion started (he turned up his nose at it, which surprised me), then snatched it away in case he changed his mind.

But ftr my dog (RIP, unrelated) thieved and ate chocolate once or twice (in one case, a quantity I'd consider large*), and no harm was done. Yes, I called the vet, and they said just keep an eye on him. Cheese, too, and not even an upset stomach. Best boy.

*after reading this, no, not a "large quantity" (doggo wolfed down a few ounces of milk chocolate, and probably some foil): "To put this in perspective, a medium-sized dog weighing 50 pounds would only need to eat 1 ounce of baker's chocolate, or 9 ounces of milk chocolate, to potentially show signs of poisoning.
