GET FUCKING FUCKED YOU FUCKING MANGA GAME NERD! YOU THREW AWAY THE ONLY GOOD THING YOU HAD GOING FOR YOU! NO ONE STAYED OR GAVE MONEY BECAUSE OF YOUR DUMBASS GAME! IT WAS THE SISTERS! IT WAS ALWAYS THE SISTERS! GUESS WHO'S IN THE BIG LEAGUES NOW ASSHOLE?! NOT YOUR DUMBASS!

I!

FUCKING!

KNEEL!

all in all pretty solid set of debuts, Cover's hiring choices continue to show their value in these picks.

Nerissa and Shiori are likely to be the ones I see myself immediately interested in following, interesting stream choices from Shiori and Nerissa's voice and personality click well for me.

Doggos I'm interested in but I'll need to see how their streams are I get a bit of the "too high energy" vibe from them that filtered me off of Ollie at first but that might change and I might be mistaken in thinking the streams will be that way in the first place. Happy to see they got hired on and happy for fans of their past Identity if nothing else.

Bijou looks nice and her game choices are solid but at least for now I feel like her voice is gonna not click for me and I have a distinct feeling her fanbase is going to be cancerous so a pretty good chance she's going to land in the "not for me" category.

Didn't stay up for the Twins' debut because I was worried of them getting so much shit if it wasn't the twins (also it was like 11pm and I have gainful employment). Glad to see they got their good ending.
and happy 7500 pages, fellow retards.

to be fair, MG isn't a vtubing company, they jumped on the bandwagon for a while, it worked out but most likely when the contract was up they saw not point in keeping it going. companies do that all the time, I don't think there was any malevolence involved (the only exception is usually when it's such an incredible success they'd be fools to not continue it in some way for the money alone).
and credits where credit is due, they DID introduce the twins to a wider audience.

twitter being shit again I can't check if they posted the whole wall on there. there were some other good ones on there, like "talk about visual novels with miko" and "touch ina's tentacles". or "release bed sheets so you don't have to choose between us", personally I'm waiting for "mococo learns to do a death scream". there was one with yagoo I couldn't see completely.
definitely a creative way to a list.

since they're two talents in one I expect they gonna split duties, fuwa doing ASMR one stream, coco moco going full kusogaki the other. same for collabs.

Tbf, most of the previous gens also started with the talents making forced voices, theyll sound more natural as times goes most likely

The twins were definitely the highlight for me, though more so because I enjoyed their past content than because of their debut stream.

There didn't seem to be nearly as much lore or character LARPing as we got with Council during their debut & first few streams. Wonder if hololive is finally realizing that nobody really cares about that crap.

Disagree. The lead guy (did he call himself Bamboo or something?) did cash in on the vtubing craze but as a way to get people interested in a new GGN game. They had a stated goal that when they got 10k subs on the channel he would begin work on a new game. They hit 10k and then 15k and then a month or two later he told them they had a month to pack their shit and leave, paraphrasing. The announcement came completely out of left field and the girls and their manager were incredibly upset. They were over a year streaming so I cannot imagine that it was a contract issue. This nip autist killed his golden goose because he thought people were really that excited to play another tourism visual novel, which I'm not even sure if he's started on yet almost a year later.

In the end it all worked out for them. I just want the faggot to go fuck himself for his pure egotistical delusion and the sheer disrespect he had to his performers. All the proof I need for those claims is in his announcement video he made after the girls were gone.

Tor's not letting me embed rn. Wonderful. In this he congratulates the sisters on their graduation, the graduation he forced on them, and then talks about the game he thinks he wants to make for the rest of the vid. Fuck him.

Success is a great form of revenge and the twins are currently streaming to 35,775 viewers.

No one in Hololive really cares much about lore except Kiara.

Do the dog twins have an official breed yet? They’re probably Shiba Inus but they also look a bit like American Eskimos.

Caught up with at least the last two debuts: I think every major rrat that was thrown around beforehand came true.
I like Nerissa's voice even if it might be a little too english VA-like for some people. What's a little irritating is that she constantly looks to the side/a second screen and the infamous rhombus face shines through. Hope she fixes her setup soon. And she is a strong singer, she really stand out in their group cover. I wonder if Advent will be able to participate at the 5th HoloFes next year.
Yagoo is the goat for hiring the GGN twins, truly the best ending. I don't get why some people say they can't understand when they talk. Their debut cover is also a nice choice of them.

I heard holo apparently doesn't allow anyone to run mods in games like Fallout, hopefully the stability issues don't fuck it up.
Some corps require you to obtain permission for the mods used, whereas others need approval from the game licence holder outright to include them. It's partly why Vespers grand XCOM event didn't pan out. Lack of permissions from 2K atop of needing every fucking mod approved too. Could you imagine him messaging 40+ random furry dudes on Steam to say "Hey can I use your mod?"

Been a while since I had the chance to sperg about Nijisanji, considering I've struggled to log in to this site. So let's rant:

None of the graduations have surprised me nor do I really feel anything about them. With ID, they got leaked months in advance for a Membership stream. Some are departing due to personal health issues, others with aspirations as indies or life beyond vTubing. I still think Reza could have had a Mika like resurgence had he been willing to eat some humble pie and intermix with the EN branch more. No matter, the departures are likely not the last when it comes to what remains of ID.

Nina had a terrible 2022 and anyone who had to experience her level of onslaught via anti's and complaints (via emails, supas etc.) would likely throw in the towel too. Especially during the Summer and Euro off-collabs she did. Just enraged rabid fans unable to pick up on her sarcasm. I do hope whatever she does next, she has a solid plan of action in place. She's fairly business savvy and isn't alien to the digital media space, so I am sure she has some options already in place. Mysta on the other hand has been menhera on and off for months (I've even documented some of his worst points) and I do believe that leaving a corporate setting is only going to do him more damage than good, especially if he rushes to re-debut on Twitch. "Talent freedom" isn't ideal when the guy in question lashes out at the smallest of comments. He is going to get one guy'd constantly.

I'd say this new French "GAMER" wave has been the final nail in the coffin for me when it comes to wanting to support or engage with Niji as a whole. Uninspired wave that haven't offered anything fresh or new. Just thrown out to pad over the departure of a long-serving figure within the company. I think the moment I saw the Bandage guy put up a waiting room for "Teach me NijiEN Lore" was the death knell. Hired someone who can barely play games, speak English nor even knows anything about the company he works for. He defines everything wrong with Niji's scouting department compared to Holo's fantastic EN3 showcase this past weekend.

While I agree he was dumb, it's not totally out of left field. Mangagamer is formed of several VN companies, which the most relevant of is OVERDRIVE who made GGN and was owned by Hiroshi Takeuchi/Bamboo. OVERDRIVE stopped being a company April 30th 2022 so it's not really surprising they didn't make another game and stepped out. What does make it dumber is they did continue vtuber activities. They spun off a "Dr. Flower" channel with characters from their VNs as the models and are still doing that even today:

It's difficult to get a sense of Shiori right now because of the debut nerves getting to her. The high voice comes off as a mismatch to the character, but perhaps over time she'll drop a couple of octaves like Bae did. Now what's most peculiar is how de-emphasized she appears to be with gaming. Makes me suspect that she'll strive for zatsudan streams like Vesper, but it's going to be a wonder as to whether she'll be able to find and maintain success with non-gaming streams, or if she'll end up dipping her toes into gaming in order to grow. One thing I'd like to see is her rope one of her peers into doing regular Sherlock Holmes book clubs.

Now I was least enthused by Bijou upon announcement, but man that was a top-tier debut stream that raises my interest in her. No spaghetti dropped, charismatic, good comedy, and nice streaming assets. It also looks as if she sucked all of the gaming out of Shiori for herself. I wonder if she wants to stream Armored Core 6. Now this is definitely a pipe dream, but one game I'd really like to see her play is The Swapper, an acclaimed indie puzzle game from a decade ago with a good sci-fi story involving sentient alien rocks. It fits Bijou's character perfectly, and she can easily play through the whole thing in one stream.
Continuing on, Narissa's alright, though she's the least characterful out the bunch, even just using her normal speaking voice. Going to the point of comparison everyone makes as an exmpale, I recall that Kronii at least established herself with narcissistic "cool girl" posturing. Narissa may now be the best singer out of EN, but we'll have to see how she sounds in karaoke rather than produced videos. It's amusing how she mogs her genmates in their collab song.

As for FuwaMoco, I'm glad that the GGN girls have been elevated, but holy shit are they overboard on the uwu baby talk. I was hoping they'd lax on that since they don't have to make themselves out to be ESL Japanese girls anymore. Maybe they'll do that over time, especially as they interact with their peers on stream. I also find it difficult to discern which of the two is talking at any point, and it got worse in the collab stream mixed with Shiori and Bijou.

In any case, I'll probably end up sporadically watching all of them as they're live, especially since it seems like the previous gens aren't streaming as frequently as they used to. It remains a wonder on what their general content is going to be like especially since it appears that only Bijou is a gaming enthusiast among them.
