Your mitigation is working. Got spicy there for an hour, but whatever you did, did the trick. It'll be better shortly. I'm working as fast as I can now that I have data coming in.

Only issue that seems to be happening is uploading videos gets to 100% on clearnet and then never attaches. Images are fine just videos seem to be having issues unsure if its related.
It would really help if the forum supported resuming uploads because as of now, you must upload the file in one go and if the connection breaks the upload fails entirely. Of course Xenforo is a piece of shit and won't be worked on but still. This was driving me batshit yesterday. I made a shitpost video and every time I tried to attach it, it took 20+ minutes to get to 100%, would often shit itself before 100%, and would just be an empty attachment after reaching 100%. It eventually attached successfully though, after IDFK how many tries.
maybe that's whyKiwiFlare is currently tanking about 65,000r/s.
yeah that error is when the nginx->scylla connection fails, which returns a check fail when it should cause nginx to just 500 error.getting "recieved a client error in reply" from the clearnet on brave right now
sorry, just for clarification. it's giving that because KiwiFlare is handling a lot of requests at the moment? cause that's what I assumed when I came to the threadyeah that error is when the nginx->scylla connection fails, which returns a check fail when it should cause nginx to just 500 error.
yes, there is an ongoing attack.sorry, just for clarification. it's giving that because KiwiFlare is handling a lot of requests at the moment? cause that's what I assumed when I came to the thread
IIRC ages ago you mitigated an attack by just configuring TLS support to only accept modern protocols and ciphers (TLS 1.3 only I think?), is that maybe something to look at again?KiwiFlare is currently tanking about 65,000r/s.
If that's a metric that's easy to grab, maybe you could add it to the page header (or footer) so you don't have to update it manually and we know the site will be a bit jank.KiwiFlare is currently tanking about 65,000r/s.
Curious if you know what sort of money an attack of this magnitude would cost. Certainly seems like someone with deep pockets and maybe a brick shaped face. We're now up to about 185,000r/s.
