When Soviets enacted the active measures program they always targeted to capture the five estates first, especially media and education cause media and education meant even if they lost the direct capture of the government, they could brainwash generations of people to act as sleeper agents for them even after they're gone, losing the battle to win the war. Sadly true. Constant access to a flood of information has dulled my generation's minds.
