I remember when a good friend of mine, a blue-collar tradesmen with a good union job who generally leans conservative but is mostly apolitical, mentioned in a casual conversation the term MAP how he heard in the media somewhere that pedophiles need treatment. Hearing this from a generally quite conservative, grounded, barely-online dude like this was just insane to me at the time.
Culture really is downstream from power and law. If the law says something, and the powerful reinforces it, that's the baseline people operate from. I'm afraid that baseline is increasingly friendly towards diddlers.

Ah, I remember Jean from a ways back when he decided to detransition. It's unfortunately the most likely outcome of victims of grooming/child sexual abuse is to not get help or think they're beyond getting help but to lash out and make the rest of the world, and as many people as they can find, feel the same way they did.This dissonance on this dopamine addicted freak is unreal.

True story my Uncle is a detective and he told me one of the first things they look for when they book a pedophile is if they have a discord app on their phone.
