I've been away from the Farms for a while and I cannot articulate the degree of my disappointment that Baby Luna is still (nominally) alive and Aidean is still in the physical custody of Kim and Dalton. I was hoping at least one innocent would be set free during my hiatus. Hopefully the arrest is enough to get some DCFS intervention for Aidean. I worry about that poor boy.

On a positive note, it looks like Kim must have showered at least once while in jail.

People in the comments ask what's going on and offer help. Candace asks what happens to their checks (from the government, I assume, since there are no paychecks in play). Aaron and Jessica very kindly send $20 that they likely really needed for themselves and recommend stretching the $20 by purchasing "Roman noodles" (those are what Julius Caesar ate as a poor student).



Only July 29, Dalton solicits a ride "in 30 mins 2 and hr or 3 from now." I think that translates to "in 30 minutes to an hour or three from now."



Dalton continues to equate breadwinning with selling your personal possessions on Facebook.

What do we think are the odds that Aidean has been enrolled in kindergarten? In Arkansas, a child must attend kindergarten if he has turned 5 before August 1st. Aidean turned 5 back in December and is therefore legally required to be enrolled in school.

School begins for for students in the Little Rock and North Little Rock Public School districts on August 14 (one week from tomorrow), and Conway Public Schools begin the term on August 21. I think Jacksonville/North Pulaski Public Schools also begin on the 21st. We have, predictably, heard nothing about Aidean's upcoming first day. A quick Google search reveals that there are multiple backpack and school supply drives happening in the Little Rock metropolitan area in the next few weeks; all they would have to do is show up and Aidean would get to pick a new backpack full of school supplies. Other organizations are offering free haircuts, clothes, and school shoes. Every child deserves to be excited about starting a new school year, but Kim and Dalton are too lazy and self-absorbed to even take advantage of opportunities to get Aidean everything he needs for free.

Since they don't have a fixed address, I don't even know if anyone will check up on them to see where Aidean is enrolled. Just grim to watch this kid fall through the cracks.

That's a very good question. Surely these dipshits know that he's suppose to be enrolled, although I wouldn't be surprised if they don't.
