Probably with indifference sadly, they strike me as the sort of "the ends justify the means" type of people. If they didn't have double standards they wouldn't have standards at all.

Though I was at Walmart earlier and saw a black dude loading his F-150, I just imagined how much back peddling they would do if they realized the person who's tires they slashed was actually a pee-oh-cee. There's one thing you don't do as it will undoubtedly cause a major confrontation and that's mess with a black dude's ride. While many black dudes have beat up jalopys with rusted out mufflers and bumpers half fallen out who absolutely don't care about their car, the ones that do care really do care, even if it's donked with ugly 30in wheels. They will go apeshit if anyone purposefully screws with their ride, especially their wheels. I still don't understand their strange obsession with gaudy massive wheels on rubber band tires. They do it to everything.

Oh yeah, I pointed out a while back that do that a black person's vehicle and something bad will happen to you, something I pointed out back in page 193.

An r/fuckcars user posted about Strong Towns in my small town's subreddit, complaining about our town's "car dependent infrastructure." My town has sidewalks and bike paths going literally everywhere within city limits, the maximum speed limit in town is 40mph, and we have a busy (and safe) walkable downtown with every service you'd need available within walking distance. I'd post a screenshot and archive link, but I don't want to PL or dox myself. These fags are everywhere.
 
They actually do support train driver strikes, I find. But then you have LGBT fags complaining about how the strikes disrupt their fag parade and is Extremely Homophobic, so there's no winning there.
While I believe that they may have supported them before they happened, the moment the strike blocks prevents them from using the blessed public transport, they'll be absolutely outraged and demanding that those train workers get back to slaving away.

Besides you may just be keeping up with traffic, or it's a old dirt road in the country NO ONE gives a shit about. As long as you know your braking distance and you've kept up to date on changing your brakes, sod off fun killer

And that's the thing, the current laws don't get heavily enforced unless you're being a idiot. Going 5mph over will basically never get you a ticket, becauseat that point, the cops wouldbe pulling over everyone for whats essentially a margin of error. All cameras and radars would do is up the surveillance state to 11.

And yes, imagine if they applied this to blacks, racial profiling. Just like going after red cars more often, they would scream it's a fucking warcrime ( I used to drive a red Tuscon, yes I got pulled over a few times for essentially bullshit, it's a fact). They are fucking hypocrites that can't tell where their asshole is.

Have you ever noticed that their ideal walkable cities are always examples in more temperate zones where heatstroke is not a risk? I guarantee you if you magically transposed Amsterdam to have the same weather as New Orleans then there would be a lot fewer bikers.

Adam is absolutely being disingenuous conflating speed cameras with "better enforcement", because they aren't. Most of the time the person speeding isn't aware they're doing so and the camera isn't going to tell them until after they get a letter in the mail. To clarify I'm not arguing against safety, I'm just against the people thinking "speed kills" is the be all end all of safety as it ignores all other instances where someone could be unsafe while going under the limit. Such as the people who slow down on the on ramp while merging or drive while distracted. But obviously there a difference between someone speeding 5 over in order to merge and someone weaving in traffic during a street race.

Actual better enforcement is a difficult subject because it requires an actual person to gauge several variables to determine whether or not someone is being unsafe. Thinking a camera is going to be the ultimate arbiter of safety is just naive at best.

This study evaluated a very specific and defined segment of Arizona interstate that contained speed cameras for a given period of time and attempts to answer the question “Did highway speed cameras reduce the number of MVC in Arizona?” Five critical confounding variables were eliminated in this comprehensive study looking at pre, during and post placement of fixed speed cameras. Our data did not show any statistical increase or decrease in total number of MVC with speed cameras. This study did not address injuries or fatalities. Although, speed cameras did not change the incidence of collisions in this study, it will be important to see if they affect injury severity independent of incidence. Further studies are needed to examine the effect speed cameras have on injury severity, admissions to trauma centers and hospital costs independent of total number of MVC.

All in all it's a little inconclusive as there are a lot of variables to account for in a study as nuanced as this, such as what type of collisions were they or were they fatal. I'm not going to deny that if these cameras will be installed there will be some sort of change in the average speed people drive at; however I cannot say in good conscious this is an effective way to make people safer.

This is one of the things that annoy me about Adam. He runs a show that's supposed to be objective and dispel myths, but he uses the same buzzwords and fear mongering tactics as the sort of people who perpetuate myths, "Two ton metal box", "domestic abuser", "42795 people died". I understand he's a hack who has a confirmation bias, but it's kind of weird to see.

"Traffic cam traps" were initially placed in spots where speeding was especially dangerous due to reduced visibility etc. and they worked great to reduce the amount of accidents.

But because this meant that eventually drivers got few if any fines from those cameras, and people who received the money from fines were also the ones with the authority to place cam traps... Excessive amount of camera traps was installed, sometimes specifically to places where people often go above the legal limit to safely merge/weave. Allegedly those parts actually become less safe as driver attention is drawn from safely executing a maneuver to not triggering the trap.
