Well, 25% of the US population is at or around retirement age. So that leaves 12.5% who could be working, but aren't. If we assume maybe 5% are stay at home moms/dads, maybe 1% who are mentally ill or disabled, then we're left with about 6.5% unemployment. IDK. I think maybe more women should be unemployed..

If you add the unemployment rate with people who aren't looking for work it comes to about 105 million people not working. About 30 million of that is retired Boomers who are getting pensions. The adult population of the US is about 260 million. 40% of the adults in the US are not working even discounting boomers the unemployment would be at 28%.

I'd argue people not looking for work are more of a burden anyways since they aren't paying into the system and are leeching entitlements.

The difference is the debt we're sitting at combined with the increased costs from things like pensions and welfare. Then there are more people than ever refusing to work a job because of the entitlement programs.

The annual deficit wasn't as high either. I think by 2025 it was said the intrest rate payments on the national debt would be over a trillion dollars.

The Feds themselves said social security would be insolvent by 2033, they made that prediction back in 2013 and things have gotten worse.

Back then excess debt and spending wasn't as big of a deal because America was at the start of the Fiat currency road. We're now at the end of that road which makes our debt matter a hell of alot more.

This is making the rounds now. Muskogean clerk and deputy noticed a bunch of irregularities in ballots being sent in through the mail and in person in October 2020. What really caught their attention was one woman brought in over 1,000 ballots all in the same handwriting. A bunch of the ballots were found to have invalid addresses, names that didn't exist on the voter rolls and of course were written in the same handwriting. This was forwarded to the police who found warehouses with guns with suppressors, rental cars, burner phones, a bunch of prepaid cards, ballots and registrations owned by a Democrat strategy firm.

edit: reading the article the Michigan DA apparently opened two investigations into this and never publicly announced it(shocker) and that apparently the FBI was given this and they did nothing.

Number 1 and number 5 are basically what the guys married with kids are mostly going to fall depending on how bad it is around them. Number 2 and 3 are already happening within departments. I can't remember if it was JosephStalin or JetFuelJohnny that said you want your troops loudly grumbling instead of in little groups muttering together that quickly shuts up when someone higher up passes by? Well, right now, it's little groups because overall trust within departments is absolute shit. Things like anonymously reporting on each other, blue flu mass call-outs and slow-rolling emergency back-up response is rife.

Staffing issues in blue city PDs would be far far worse if being a police officer wasn't the only well-paying option for average IQ guys with no mechanical inclination or college degree. Most of these guys know the only thing out there for them outside of wearing the blue is shit like working loss-prevention at Target for near minimum wage, which keeps them from walking.
