Everybody is up in arms about the voting stuff while I'm over here scratching my head wondering why state and county level political parties have warehouses full of rifles and suppressors.

Who paid for them? Were they purchased through an FFL or were they provided by a government agency? Were all the suppressors accompanied by their tax stamp and form 1/4? What was the intent in buying them? Were they serialized?

I'm not gonna comment on vote counts or irregularities, because I don't know how any of that works (and I'm sure Dems like that they can make it complicated and opaque).

What I will say is that even if we assume, for the sake of argument, that the vote tallies of 2020 were legit, it was still not a free or fair election. It has been proven beyond a doubt that the FBI and Big Tech put their thumbs on the scales for Biden.

And now they want to jail the opposition leader so that the Opposition's base may only vote for a Uniparty-approved candidate.

You have a point but you made a small mistake.

They DO propose a solution. Except it is "reducing the size of the government" which they NEVER actually do, or worse they only do it in the worst ways possible by making it easier for oligopolies and big companies and the PACs to game the system. Which is just as bad.

If they merely did what they said about reducing the government it would go a long way to helping.

Conservatives are only ever vague about "cutting the government." They can't identify any problem to solve, or anything about society that would be better. That's what I mean by a lack of positive vision. A positive vision is something like, "I'd like America to be a place where our cities are safe and clean, where you don't lose your job to slave labor in Asia, you don't have to spend six years in school for an entry-level position, and you don't have to worry about some pervert raping your daughter in the girls' locker room." Get into specifics later. Some of those, like bringing down higher ed costs, do in fact involve taking a chainsaw to certain government programs. But, "I want the government to spend less than $6.5 trillion dollars" isn't a positive vision. It's a negative vision. It's something you want someone else to not do, not something you want to be better.

It also is worth pointing out that not a single Republican President has actually shrunk the size of government since World War II. “Limited government” in practice just means more money for the defense industry and bribing more countries to be nice to Israel. Let me know when a conservative actually cares about reducing the size of government and I’ll be interested to hear what they have to say. Otherwise it’s just an excuse to do nothing. I unironically appreciate Mike Pence’s honesty about having a thumb lodged firmly in his ass. Beats the usual bullshit I guess.

You don't need to call the ATF to verify the suppressors. If they weren't stored with their paperwork and tax stamps, it's a felony. I also hope they were separately locked in a safe, as not having them behind 2 layers of protection is also a felony.

There's otherwise law abiding citizens sitting in prison right now for drawing a picture of a machine gun. They refuse to even investigate shady shit like this if it's being done by the right people.

Your options for the American government right now are:
1. Limited government that is smaller but potentially ineffective due to the inherent concept involved with the term itself, at the very least it would be less intrusive and give states more power for better and for worse.
2. Continue the slow march toward a unitary state with a massive central administration and arrive at the conclusion that there is no issue with it as long as you control said unitary state.

Pre-Trump Republicans are usually more into the first option and the ones that voted for him often fall into the other camp since he has made a big deal about not wanting to cut into programs like Medicare or Social Security. Conservative presidents who ostensibly support limited government may not see much of an incentive to actually deliver on their promises on the matter because most people usually aren't just going to give up power if they have say in the matter.

Democrats as far as I know typically don't even have this issue because it's hard to implement tons of social programs when you have a small government.

The problem with the concept of limited government in current year plus eight is that nobody will be able to agree on what gets cut.
