I can't remember where I read it, I'll try and dig it up, but there was a study conducted where they found that most convicted pedos either exaggerated or outright lied about childhood molestation they'd experienced, because they knew it would get them sympathy and leniency in the eyes of the court and the public. A sob story of the cycle of abuse, instead of the tale of an evil predator.
Essentially, a lot of pedos use childhood abuse as an excuse for their disgusting depravity, so always take it with a pinch of salt. It's ultimately an attempt to weaponize your empathy against you.

If I’m not mistaken, this art isn’t original. The original drawing is of the same Mario character but they’re in regular casual clothing and it’s by a totally unrelated artist*. That is to say, this tranny stole the drawing of this character from online and edited in the MAP/pedo shit. It’s possible they aren’t even really an “artist” with a notable public presence so much as they are an editor of some sort. Regardless, they’re still scum and should be banned from Minecraft.

*The original was done by an artist called SarukaiWolf/SaruWolf. I found it by searching “Rosalina (character name) casual/modern clothes fanart” on google and scrolling until I saw a similar style. It was tagged with the name SaruWolf, so I searched “SaruWolf Rosalina” and it came up.

Surprised no one’s mentioned (for the people investigating the origins & etymology of “goon,”) that it became popularized about 20 years ago on Something Awful. I’d start there if I was researching that shit. Pretty common knowledge that a bizarre goon subculture came from that site. It also gave us the term, “troon,” which is a portmanteau of tranny plus goon. The troons from SA used the term as a point of pride. Troon became a derogatory term on Kiwi Farms specifically. That’s the lore.

This is my main point of confusion: did this definition originate with the OG internet "goons" or did it develop in parallel somewhere else?

The only reason I'm not assuming that it did originate on SA is that I'd think the SASS crowd would have found this subculture at some point during their trolling of SA by reposting all the embarrassing shit goons would just admit to on the site. The "gooning" community seems to enjoy being sufficiently out with their disgusting behavior to find easily if you peel back the veneer just slightly, and this shit is too embarrassing for it to avoid mention over the years if they'd found it lurking in the coom-stained corners of SA.

Of course the community could have evolved from SA members that declined to mention their habit while on SA; offsite communities for piracy sprung up like dandelions in those days. That said, the evidence presented in this thread suggests otherwise based on the behavior of the gooners.

Close on the troon lore, but the deep lore is it became derogatory somewhere between SA where it started as a purely descriptive term (but may have picked up derogatory implications outside of the trans-goon circles along the way, because goons), and its use by the splinter SASS/TNE/MPC/SS crowd, where I'm pretty sure troon was first used in a derogatory way to refer to non-goon insane trannies by 2013. At least that's the earliest I can find, as SASSclopedia doesn't have troon as a term in what's archived (back to around 200, and TNE/MPC don't seem to be well archived, so the non-goon troons thread from November 2013 is the earliest definite mention with that meaning I can find. It then found its way to KF prior to SS going down likely due to migrants (earliest mention of "troon" by keyword search appears to be June 2016 in the Fire thread).
