Lolcow Melinda Leigh Scott & Marshall Castersen - Sue-happy couple. Flat earth conspiracists. Pretending to be Jewish. Believe Kiwi Farms is protected by the Masonic Order. 0-6 on lawsuits. Marshall is dead.

Really, the pre-filing injunction is more valuable than the 10k in lawyer fees. She can't sue Josh or the site again. That means that a never ending parade of lawsuits and the associated fees will never come to pass. It is over. Melinda lost. But as the saying goes, you might beat the charge but you can't beat the ride. At least the ride is finished and put to pasture.

Edit. Knock on wood. No doubt the psycho will appeal the injunction.
Can't she just file the same bullshit in a different jurisdiction?

i'm particularly fond of the judge's decision to include this bit of information:

Normally I’d say yes, but the judge said that his injunction would apply to “any lawsuit in the future against Mr. Moon arising from the operation or use of Kiwi Farms”. I don’t believe that would be limited to Virginia. @AnOminous I need your help on this one, am I understanding this right?

Yes, but step one of defending against any such lawsuit would be introducing "hey court, this plaintiff has an injunction in this other jurisdiction that says she can't sue for frivolous bullshit"... although I don't think the court would be required to respect the injunction, it would still be a fairly convincing argument.

No shimpout on FB, but she did make a post about God not controlling people at around the same time:

She also changed religions and did the Russell Greer thing of “I AM LEAVING FOREVER”, but changed her mind in two days.

Also, story changed, it’s no longer the evil courts/evil ex wife that murdered Marshall, but the JEWS:

Also, as I was writing this, she posted this:

I have no idea what this means.

Yeah, like that will stick. She doesn't know how to be any form of Jew. She picks and chooses parts of a religion that suits her needs at any one point in her life to cope with how shit things are for her. The post blaming the Jews for Marshals death just reaffirms that. You kill him Melinda. It had nothing to do with the Jewish community. It's also not up to them to take care your pathetic ass for the rest of your life all because you killed a man you stated multiple times here that you hated him. I believe you even said you wanted him dead too. You should be happy that you at least got one thing you wanted in life, but of course you're too greedy and want more.

She can learn from Bex the Archivist, I'm sure the "Judaism but with a lot of sex, lies and cuckoldry and very little spirituality" would fit Melinda pretty well.

I have faith that things will ultimately balance out and Josh will get what he is owed elsewhere.

For a woman who speaks of religion a lot, she doesn't appear to be heeding any of the signs that God has been giving her, the untimely death of her husband being a major one.

A federal court does have the jurisdiction and power to do this, but unless it's explicit on that, I'd like to see the actual injunction before saying that for sure. I'd assume Skordas would have a hand in drafting it. I'm sure the injunction itself (which in these cases usually also requires that any new filing by the vexatious litigant include a copy of the injunction) will be more clear.

Note, the cited case involved a pre-filing injunction against any case in the district in question, even unrelated cases, and the trial court was reversed on appeal. However, it involved only the district in which the case was filed. More broader reaching injunctions relating to the entirety of the federal court system are considerably rarer.

She may have not received the decision in the mail yet. I say give her until Wednesday.
Mr. Matthew Hardin, you mean? Skodas is on Null’s Greer case.

Which is why I thought the way I did. I hope I’m not being overly optimistic.

Fair enough.

To be clear, I’m not making fun of Null, but of the shitty situation that has been forced unto him. Speaking of which, @Null , when are you collecting your $44.40?

I'm glad that I was exhibit b1 on one and recited there (the looney moony one)
I was too. She even attempted to subpoena Null once for my info, convinced she was that I was Null’s lawyer.
