why are the majority of them so keen on indicting him, then?
They want the best of both worlds. Quash his uprising, but keep the support and money his base brings in. Like the old days.

They think that if they make a big enough show about Trump being bad evilman, their own duplicity will be forgiven by the base.

It will not.

Trump's base now has a boot firmly in party operations - the day-to-day of the RNC, and the longer things take, the more that base will become entrenched. The establishment's previous gen aren't getting any younger, and their replacements have to come from someplace. The fork-and-spoon operators their ground games need are almost entirely captured by the modern populist right - the likes of Bucananites, dejected former Democrats, the Goldwater brigade, et al.

why are the majority of them so keen on indicting him, then?
Because if they can get an excuse to go "oh well, guess Trump can't run, time to get in line and vote Meatball 2024, you annoying tea party 2.0 fucks who keep getting in the way of the embezzlement and pork" they will. And they're absolutely desperate to get that excuse.

When the boomers finally age out -- die of old age, cause retiring with grace is literally beyond the narcissistic fucks -- I hate to see what's going to happen to politics. The DNC hasn't cultivated a new generation since Hillary burned it all down to make it all about her, only to have Obama steal her party like an unattended bike, only to then have him piss on the ashes rather than let things not be about king negro for five fucking seconds. The problem being that the DNC is utterly reliant on a base that's full of indoctrinated fuckwits who think that real socialism is just around the corner and if we need more money to pay $25/hr minimum wage jobs just print more money it's ok and why should landlords be allowed to raise their rent that's just not fair -- so whatever new generation crops up when the current 80+ year old dried up cunts fuck off and die will be a whole lot more like AOC than Pelosi -- dumb as a box of rocks, with ideas that literally are incompatible with reality, but who will utterly reject anything other than being hand gifted a trophy by god himself.

The GOP's no better, mind. Like all boomers the GOP's intentionally stolen the futures of the next generation because fuck you got mine, and they'll do whatever they can to prevent anyone clawing a single red cent away from their maws. They'd rather see the US cleansed in fire rather than give up on the pork and grift. Worse, a good chunk of them literally cannot grasp the concept that the United States isn't still in the year 1950 or 1980. When they age out, I don't know who replaces them. The obvious is MAGA and the left had better hope so, because the alternatives become rapidly less pleasant for them, in a "why would I care if a jew or nigger calls me a racist for doing something they don't like?" sort of way.

Yeah, but unlike with those, if it's a Democrat action that generates that, they won't be fiery peaceful protests, they will be terrorist cells that will be brutally squashed. They'll make sure to show all pictures of those detained at max brightness.
They won't do this because it would remove the only level of leverage they have on Trump right now - his party affiliation.

While they hate him, the establishment right is utterly reliant on his base, and fucking knows it.
I would have believed this if 2022 hadn't happened and the GOP very firmly made it clear that it's either their RINOs or death. I can perfectly see them just saying fuck it all to remove the taint of MAGA from their party, this will of course kill the party for real, but they really honest to god seem to not give a shit.

It's amazing how hard the GOP threw 2022, and even then they still had a small victory. It really shows how committed they are to the Uniparty.

Edit to avoid Doubleposting: Tucker interviews Capitol Building Police Chief again since his first interview has been black holed by Fox, and comes out to say it sounds like he (Chief) got setup to fail (in case anyone watching is too retarded to make that obvious connection)

Trump cleaned up so easily at the Iowa State Fair the more Meatball stays in the race the more disgusting and toxic he becomes. And the amount of draw Trump had as he walked around should make it very clear to the RINOs running the RNC that you have absolutely no chance of trying to remove him at the convention or from state ballots without completely being destroyed, to a point you will never have even the ability to be the Washington Generals ever again.

Meatball got heckled so much the governor of Iowa, who has backed Meatball without outright endorsing him, had to be a Karen and they still wouldn't stop.

Then someone called him Rick and he high five'd them
00123.png

There was even someone mocking Rob with a plane banner
00120.png

While Meatball was "grilling" pretending to be a normal human, Trump was getting ready to land and people paid more attention to his plane.

Trump did this before against Lyin' Ted in '15, but look how much bigger Cruz's audience was.
00125.png

Having 9 FL congressmen work the crowd for Trump was brilliant, it showed a united front, made Iowa politicians look like chumps, and by bringing them it allowed people to not be completely discouraged if they couldn't see Trump up close. And it seems they brought so many MAGA hats they didn't need anything else.

Not as much as you think. Look at 2022, where "vote blue no matter who" led to absolutely terrible candidates like Senator Fentanylman or the insanely corrupt woman in Arizona who refused to even campaign against her opponent requiring relatively little fortification to win. Democrats could run literally anyone and thanks to the propaganda media they'll organically get 40-45% of the vote. Biden could say in his next State of the Union "hey niggers, you better get your black asses to the polls and vote Democrat" and the media will say "here's why Biden isn't actually a racist with dementia" and it will be fine for pretty much everyone.

And Trump just isn't as much of a presence as he was in 2020, since he's confined to the occasional rally and screaming boomer rants on some social media site everyone only knows because Trump uses it. He honestly sounds pretty low energy now compared to 2020, let alone 2016. The indictments are IMO just yet more persuasion for the "muh respectability" crowd to not vote Trump. I still think Trump is the best guy for the job (not hard when the only other remotely reasonable candidates is a shady Pajeet and a liberal best known for hating all vaccines), but it won't take any implausible levels of fortification to steal the election.
This seems a little revisionist. Republicans ran a pro-trans Turk Muslim against Fetterman. In Georgia they ran a retarded black wife beater. Arizona is decided entirely by Maricopa county which had literally every trick pulled during 2022.

In terms of polling Trump is statistically even with Biden and ahead in major swing states, that never happened in 2020. Everyone knows who Trump and Biden are at this point. Physically surviving to November 2024 is probably the bigger obstacle to either of them than enthusiasm.

At this point I'm honestly surprised Biden hasn't tried paying crowds of people to show up for him (or maybe he has lol) but it's so striking how pathetic Bidens crowds always are vs how many people Trump has eagerly showing up. You can tell it bothers the leftoids because any time Trump has a big event the DNC shills like BrooklynFag start arguing how Biden totes got 81 bajillion votes legit

Yep. The GOP did whatever they could do to lose the Senate. The uniparty in action: they knew they probably had to deal with a Republican Congress but there was no way they’d ever want the Gay Old Perverts to have both house and senate. Good old fashioned gridlock so absolutely nothing would change. That’s what they wanted and that’s what they got. I remember when El Rushbo would beat his retarded diabetic dick when gridlock happened, so you just knew that was what the beltway wanted.

People talk about the mask coming off with the left, but we've known the left hates America since the 1970s. That they really do think it's funny and cool when a white girl gets raped and murdered by an illegal alien wasn't so obvious back then, but still. The true mask-off moment was the GOP leadership announcing it didn't care what its voters wanted; it would do everything it could to stop Trump from enforcing immigration law, and would stand behind the fraudulent Mueller investigation. And if that didn't clinch it, it was when they trotted out Kristi Noem and Asa Hutchinson to inform the entire red state voting base that there would be no fighting the left on the tranny issue; we were simply expected to capitulate, move on, and hand over our kids. For decades, they'd told us they couldn't do this or that, because it was too hard, and Trump exposed their lies by just doing stuff they'd said was impossible. And then you looked back, and everything the GOP had done for decades made sense. They'd always hated their voters. They despise soldiers. They loathe farmers. They detest housewives. They have nothing but contempt for middle-class homeowners, fast food franchisees, long haul truckers, and church ladies. It's not that their corporate donors are in line before us, it's that they actively, maliciously despise us.

I'm really curious how the history books will talk about all this in 40-60 years. They're just so fucking arrogant and blatantly open with their corruption and schemes it isn't even funny anymore. At least during Dubya's reign there was some uncertainty as to whether he was a total moron being directed by Cheney or not.

That's if anyone can read by that point and these scum haven't achieved total domination of the political and social systems for their own benefit (I know they pretty much already do).
The history classes won't get past MLK so what does it matter?

They will straight up kill Trump before they will ever let him get close to the reins of power again. They just haven't said it out loud.

Mehmet Oz was unironically the best candidate of all the choices in the 2022 PA-SEN GOP Primary. The alternatives were Dave McCormick (hedge fund manager, carpetbagger from Connecticut, pro-China shill, said Trump should be impeached for Jan 6, unabashed neocon who would have done even worse in Western PA than Oz did) and Kathy Barnette (who talked about how she was a child of rape to promote the noble virtues of her pro-life stance).

If the GOP got their act together in stopping fraud as much as possible, then AT THE VERY LEAST they would have prevented Adam Laxalt from being cheated out in Nevada. That would have made the Senate 50-49 and therefore more Republicans would have been motivated to turn out to vote for Herschel Walker in the December Runoff to take the majority. There were people who stayed home in Georgia because of GOPe sabotage. In fact, the Lieutenant Governor of Georgia Geoff Duncan encouraged people to stay home; also, Brian Kemp as hyped up as he is by GOPe people was tying himself to Herschel Walker and Trump was advised to stay out for the December runoff, only for Herschel to do worse than he did in November despite Trump being a bit more involved for that one; also note that the new Lieutenant Governor of Georgia Burt Jones was a prominent Stop the Steal "alternate elector", the same kind that is being prosecuted in Michigan right now - he won his race in Nov 2022 by 5 points, showing that being associated with MAGA and "election denialism" isn't this automatic damaging thing for GOP candidates. Herschel Walker on the other hand went with the GOPe talking point that 2020 was fair.

all in all, the Pennsylvania Senate race, the Arizona Senate race, and especially the New Hampshire Senate race all required the GOP to be not only a lot more well funded than they already were, but also required them to unite behind a nominee months ahead of time, AND build a very solid early voting infrastructure that the Dems had in PA & AZ & NH. Mehmet Oz, Blake Masters, and Don Bolduc all went through divisive primaries; the latter two only had 2-3 months after the primaries to adjust to the general; they were going up against well funded machines that aside from fraud also did a good job at getting Democrat aligned voters to vote early.

That is how the GOP could've gotten to 54 Senate Seats in Jan 2023, not by "dumping Trump and MAGA" which would have caused even more Democrats to take power due to Trump aligned voters staying home.

To be honest the real Mask off Moment for the GOP was McCain shooting down Obamacare repeal despite having voted for it before then immediately fleeing to retirement.

Admittedly, I have the same fears here. It seems that the GOPe has simply gone full insanity.

It's because they're terrified of their rice bowls getting overturned. For years, decades, they've bellied up to the public trough and gotten to eat their fill and then some.

I truly believe now that McConnell only kiboshed Garland's SCOTUS nomination because he correctly perceived that Garland was a psychopath and would not play well with the establishment. There was no principle behind it, just a desire to prevent some other disruption of the status quo.
