The Elder Scrolls

Reinstalled Skyrim, been playing a stealth illusionist build with Ordinator and Apocalypse Magic. I'd never paid attention to the illusion school before now, it's very fun making bandits kill each other with frenzy.

I also downloaded 3D NPCs for flavor, but I kinda wish I hadn't. Why is this mod so popular? All the characters are way too long winded, and half the time the characters have backstories that flat out make zero sense. Also, I noticed all the stormcloak characters it adds are portrayed in a negative light. I get preferring the imperials, but the author could have at least pretended to be neutral.

I think I briefly had it installed from a modlist I partially followed. The first character I came across had the cringy mod voice acting and was super long winded with a billion dialogue options. I think it also adds gay stuff or something. I uninstalled it right after hearing the voice acting.

Maybe I should put my modlist together for fellow kiwis, it's pretty solid and never has any crashing issues.

Also here are the gay remover mods: https://rentry.org/Non-NewtonianMods#skyrim

I am so behind now I got the Forgotten City game made from a mod of the same name for Skyrim right?
Yes it was a mod for Skyrim that stemmed out to become its own game. I haven’t tried it, is it any good?

Edit: Can a good boy do good against evil boys?

I did notice this. Some of the only NPCs it adds who don't have 1000+ dialogue options are the interracial Nord/Argonian lesbian couple taking their adopted daughter to High Hrothgar. There's also a lesbian cannibal in Markarth trying to fuck the shopkeeper of Arnlief & Sons. So far I haven't encountered any gay male characters, but I'm syure I will eventually.

I think the worst NPC the mod adds is the pacifist monk living at the Steed Stone. I guess he's supposed to be a follower who'll act as a dedicated healer, but his backstory is retarded and his voice actor sounds incredible autistic. I cannot imagine anybody, let alone me, willingly bringing him along on adventures.

You haven't run into the tranny you help transition by getting them a potion yet then? MxR's wife voiced her.

Who is MxR? The mod author?

I didn't know there was a tranny, I never would have installed the mod if I did. Where do I find it? I'm morbidly curious how awful it is. Can you make it 41% by witholding the troonshine potion?

He was/is a skyrim mod youtuber I believe. Also I've encountered at least a couple of male NPCs who were involved in gay shit, but I had no idea there was a troon.

Isn’t he that Asian that reviews a bunch of fallout and Skyrim mods but it’s almost always porn shit?

MxR was a very popular Skyrim/Fallout mod reviewer from a few years ago. He started reviewing LoverLabs mods and Youtube took away his monetization so he and his girlfriend started a TikTok reaction channel. His girlfriend/wife? is the voice for Recorder and Ambriel. Oh! I almost forgot he was sued by a turboautist mod author for reviewer her mod.

One day people will realize that modders are dogshit at writing and voicing characters across the board. Yes, even Inigo.

Modders can do amazing shit when it comes to graphics, textures, models, animations etc. But wiring and voice acting ain't on that list. And neither is character design either. Mod made characters are either exceptionally generic or the most painful Deviant Art OC possible. Usually some sort of Waifu fuck doll or beast race.

John Skyrim is a good example of graphics, models, and textures. I’m just waiting for him to release more Warcraft armors and weapons. There’s another guy doing something similar but the textures are dogshit and he has loli characters so it’s lame.

I'm waiting on someone to be insane enough to make an ESO styled Armor Motif mod, or even just do the ESO Armours themselves. Maybe there's already one and I just haven't seen it though.

Someone made the Nord Hero and Breton Hero armors. I'm waiting for the Breton Lord we saw in the trailer.

it's not the writing, just sturgeon's law. writing is also easier to fuck up and huff your own farts, a muddy texture or fucked up animation is way more noticeable, so most of them simply don't appear on the internet out of shame or common sense.

I'm replaying Oblivion, and someone has started to use AI to add voices to various mods and it's like...you can tell it's AI but it's still less jarring than actual modder voice acting.

Granted, I'm just using it for rumors that activate the plugins instead of them just popping up so it's not like huge monologues or anything, but IMO if modders are not using AI to voice mods at this point they're vain, egotistical and stupid. It's only going to get better from here.

Well AI is less prone to mistakes (oh wait let me try that one again) At the very least AI is less prone to mistakes.

I was messing around on Skyrim again and I really wish you could actually role play. There are a lot of cool races and groups, but other than the civil war and the dark brotherhood it's all on rails. I get why it's that way, because it would be a ton of work to put more far reaching choices in the game.

It sure would be nice if your race had more of an impact. Like if you're a khajiit they won't let you into any of the holds right away until you do a special quest to be given entry. Or if being a dark elf or argonian gave you special options and quests to do in Windhelm.

Oh well, I don't know what VI will be like but Bethesda seems more interested in figuring out how to squeeze more money out of players then making a bigger and better game.

It adds a lot of new followers that aren't big titty coomer women or Inigo, whole reason I use it. It's a mod of peaks and valleys. Some of the quests and NPCs are great, better than vanilla even, some are outright dogshit awful.
