They sob about their oppression to the people they think are helping them, this quasi-fictional world they've constructed, when reality interferes with their fantasy. The petulant teenagerness of them (no matter how old they actually are) lives for having something to use to show their pain is important, more important than yours.
It's funny, and it's transparent. But unlike other teenage bullshit, it has incredibly serious consequences for anyone involved. This girl will probably never appreciate what most of her family is doing for her, even if she ends up realising she's going through a phase before taking hormones or getting surgery.
Fuck, troons are just insufferable. Everyone else in her family should pretend to troon out just to spite her. See how special her pain feels then.
