While shutting it down is understandable considering the circumstances with Netkas and later Vinnie, lots of people enjoyed chatting there. It was a good place to share memes and news and non-MSM information.
It's not the chat's fault that a sex pest troon somehow became a moderator. Twice.
The Telegram group was substantially improved over early June after the Night of the Long Brooms, when Netkas was swept away by Josh, which I think many people appreciated.
The only real problem there was moderation, since as of yesterday evening there was only one moderator remaining.
The telegram channel would be fine if there were 2 or 3 good moderators spread across time zones.
Damn well it was fun while it lasted.
Troons are like the reverse King Midas - everything they touch turns to shit.

I'm just being pedantic, there's probably nothing you could've done. I think your first instinct to shut down chat the first time we got Clearnet up was probably the right call. Many of those people don't even use the Farms or know what it is.

I damn well hope so. People who go to a forum where idiots are mocked for sharing tmi on the internet really shouldn't treat it/kf adjacent spaces like discord or snapchat. But alas, we have a thread filled with kiwis who can't into opsec. Null should have disabled registration for longer periods of time.

Very specific and niche but fiction.live is a live story website where people write quests to a live audience who vote on character actions and the chat community is different from author to author and some of them are extremely good and have no issues.

I'll miss shitposting on the chat, as well as some of the people there, but overall I'm glad it's gone since ot was pretty obvious that 90% of the people there did not use this site.
