It seems that the route he took is West Ridge, traveling along the (relatively) shallow ridge rather than straight up the cliff.

Even so, it appears that this is still a route that climbers would do with ropes. There's not a lot of videos for reference, but I don't see anyone going without ropes.

So yeah, Kris has demonstrated very dangerous practice even among climbers, so it's not that surprising that he'd eventually bite it. Now I just wonder how long he's been doing this for and what mountain he finally slipped on.

The speculation that Kris died as a result of failing to use a rope while climbing can finally be put to rest as baseless conjecture. Recent investigations have reveled that Kris ascended the mountain with an unidentified male who we now know to have cut his rope leading to the fatal fall. The image below was taken by a passing drone mere moments before the murder occurred.

The unknown man of interest was observed to speak with with an Irish accent of questionable authenticity, and witnesses mention overhearing him rambling about Sneed, Turkroaches, and Kiwis. Anyone with any information which could identify this individual or shed lights on his motives are urged to come forward immediately.
