Nigger, ALL of your time is free time. Because streaming is your "job". So until you hit the 40 hours of "work" mark you aren't even at a full-time job. Keeping in mind that that job is sitting on your fucking ass and talking you really aren't anything special. If you spend four hours researching for a four hour stream, you're "working" about as much as every single other functioning adult in society. Except your "work" is sitting on your fucking ass and reading for four hours, then sitting on your fucking ass and talking for four hours. It's not work, it's not difficult.
With respect to research, Nick had it SUPER easy during Vic because KF did like 99% of the heavy lifting for him. Oftentimes, when he flung shit at somebody in KV, it was the monetization of some Kiwi's free labor. At one point, a Kiwi even physically traveled to a courthouse in Texas to pull Ron Toye's divorce filings and print them out. That's how we know about the remote control story. Nick didn't do anything but read portions of the documents, call Ron a fag and a cuck, and collect superchats. I can cite plenty of examples of things like that.
Nobody minded that though, because the expectation was he would signal boost content on the Farms and that would generate more tard cum from lolcows. There's not that many Youtubers who are willing to openly use KF as a source, and even fewer that would speak positively about the Farms. Null has stated that he feels bad about shitting on Rekieta because Nick and Dax were the only two online personalities that actually gave the Farms a fair shake.
There was also general appreciation of the fact he used his own expertise to set up an IOLTA account for Vic, as well as a GFM. He also hooked up Vic with a lawyer, although this last one is now an albatross around his neck. Which is probably why his story about knowing Ty has changed so drastically.
Anyways, if he's gonna sit and cry about how hard research is he can fuck right off. Nobody on KF considers researching a lolcow hard work. Few people here get paid for it either. Certainly not to the tune he did. I think more than a few people have even
expended money on things. JosephTX spent several hundreds of dollars on printing fees for those court records he was probably never reimbursed for, and I think
@Himedall All-seeing Waifu,
@Potatoherder, or
@Yandex Captcha Solver (one of you. anyways) said they bought a headless computer setup for chat logging purposes.
He's crying about having to do something, that he gets paid a good chunk of change for, that we consider an autistic
hobby. Boo Hoo.
Rather than call us incel prudes, and accuse us of projecting, he'd do better to pull out the old "they did it for free" meme to try and stick it to us. At least that would have some semblance of truth to it. We basically do.
All of us. To one degree or another. It's not just the jannies. And streamers can, have, and will continue to profit from it. Metokur used to catch shit for that. That's just the way things be.
You have a combination of luck and a personality draw.
He
HAD a personality draw. Past-tense.
A bit of PL, I'm in the IT field with a college degree. What this means is that I myself spend the majority of my "work day" sitting on my ass and doing very little of much effort. I work remote as well so even when I'm "working" I'm also watching YouTube/TV, shitposting online, etc. It's not "work". I have my own class of bullshit to deal with but if I was to ever bitch about how much "work" I have to do I'd expect a longshoreman to bust through my wall Kool-Aid Man style and beat my fucking ass.
I can somewhat relate. Much of what I do all day is reviewing paperwork, court filings, transcripts, and news articles. Most of the time I get to work from home (which allows me to shippost here). It can be time consuming and the subject matter is often boring, but it's not what I'd consider "hard" or "work." Hell, I don't even really have to deal with anybody other than my boss. I actually consider myself blessed. Coal mining is hard. Road work in August, when it's 120 degrees outside, is hard. Firefighting is hard. Research ain't hard.
Let's not kid ourselves here. His topic research per stream takes 1hr tops and that's being generous. Half of his show is him whining about his kids and super chats. The other half he rambles on the topic until he goes off tangent most of the time.
See above. I'm not even sure he did an hour of hardcore research per Vic stream. There's a good reason why he had so many interesting things to discuss in 2019, and his shows are utter dogshit now. It's largely thanks to the site he's now MATI at.
