Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

I had a quick look at the video. Why has he got two tvs? Can a resident Kiwi anthropologist enlighten me? Is it a trophy from a successful burglary hunt?
They are a sign of status among the niggardly. Bigger and more is better. That's why they love massive wheels on their malaise era Cadillacs and Buicks.

It's impressive that Egosoft has been iterating on the formula for over 20 years now. I've tried getting into the series a couple times, but it feels a bit too much like Euro Truck Simulator in space for me. I'll proabbly give X4 another shot and try more combat missions than delivery/escort stuff, maybe something will click.
haven't played 4 yet, but for 3 at least trucking is still the active element. however compared to for example ED you're managing your shit while trucking from A to B, like sending transports around to pick up shit you need, buy ships, manage fleets to fuck around with in other sectors etc. it's peak german management autism and I love it.

It's really fucking weird.

If they are so confident in the quality to give codes to anyone, why have such a long embargo in place? Why have such a strict NDA?

I'm sorry, but when you have an "early release" perk, that's the real fucking release so don't give me that "the embargo ends a week before release" shit.
Left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. The higher ups at Bethesda probably know the actual state of the game. But lie to the PR people and tell them the game is good. And also make sure there's a clause in the NDA for the shills content creators that they have to talk about how smooth and bug free the game is. If you recall, the people who were given Cyberpunk early did much the same thing. When the game launches and real people start to play and find out how many bugs there actually are these shills are going to pretend their vague assertions meant nothing and aren't to be taken seriously.

Can I ask what some of you are going to do if it turns out it actually is Bethesdas least buggy game?

So is it broken?

No.

I'd be pretty happy. I could see it being their least buggy title and still have that Bethesda jank to it. NPCs sweeping floors with invisible brooms or walking through closed doors before opening them, things like that. If they've polished it to the point where you don't have weird FPS/physics jank like Skyrim's carts. or have quests breaking down, I'd say it's a success.

I'm gonna level with you here, I don't even care.
Bullshit. You’ve been frothing at the mouth about how much of a failure this game is going to be despite zero evidence besides one game in 2018 made for multiplayer which isn’t the dev’s strong suit by their B team. You’ve literally been praying on Starfield’s downfall.
Don’t give me that “I don’t care” nonsense you fucking liar.

I haven’t been angry at you about your opinions until now. All your hatred towards the game you’ve never played was fine because just like me and everyone here, you’re just another guy with an opinion. But I’m not gonna sit here and let you say a bold faced lie right to my face.

I am glad they learned from fo4 and removed the player voice. That completely crippled quest mods in fo4. Though i have major doubts about modding as Hines came out and said Starfield was "the most moddable game ever."

Lots of concerns on the physics engine and the UI format as if they changed enough there simply aren't tools to modify those. All the guys who did the heavy lifting for this stuff have either left the scene or are under contract with game companies and can't help if they wanted. Common view with the modders i know is the community simple doesn't have the ability to do a script extender if it takes any serious reverse engineering.

I watched the leaked footage. It looked as buggy as every other Bethesda game. So I'm vindicated. It would've been nice for the game to have not been buggy. But that clearly isn't the game that is being given to us.

disappointed bc half the reason I'm trying it out is for the jank, the other being this is the first setting that Bethesda has done that interests me
i prefer a buggy if ambitious game compared to stable white bread
