This video had Fantano slightly joking, but also complaining about the fact that ChatGPT seemingly having better music taster than him, even if it is just another modern mainstream list for ”esteemed” music critics.

The thing is, it kind of is lame, because he complains that the majority of the list is filled with post rock, industrial rock and art rock references with the likes of Talk Talk, Björk and Kate Bush (just to name a few).

Yet the minute he starts to complain about how there are no black artists/musicians that make soul, R&B or hip-hop, his eyes widen bright the minute A.I. named Lauryn Hill’s debut album one of its greatest albums of all time and below it was a trip hop album from Massive Attack.

Even when he could have made a video joking that ChatGPT is going to replace him as the Internet’s Busiest Music Nerd™, he just can not help but complain that even A.I. needs to have more famous black singers and rappers on their Greatest of All a time lists™, even while those kinds of lists are supposed to be subjective by nature.

Again, this was just lame to watch.

No joke, I tried watching it and gave up 30 seconds in. Sure, it may be bad enough that I'm a pretty shitty mood because I have a headache, but even then this did not help. It pissed me off even more. Fuck the wigger Fagtano.

Fantano talked about the popular “Rich Men From Richmond” song by Oliver Anthony, and needless to say, he didn’t quite get what the song was supposed to mean and thought it was a “right-wing anthem” that went popular overnight:

I only managed to make it past 35 seconds, and it was over the top by trying to claim that people like Matt Walsh and other politically conservative people like him are “bigoted and psychotic”.

This is what your popular Music Nerd™ actually said, and it’s not based on hyperbole. If someone can summarize the entire thing, I’d much appreciate it, because if it is more politicalsperging, then I’ll have to respectfully pass on this.

-He said it's acoustic, pretty dry and not the best singing he's ever heard but it is good.
-Says it's breaking the 4th wall which is characteristic of folk music and reminds him of Woody Guthrie.
-Calls the part about being overtaxed "old and ignorant tropes"
-Says he speaks to poor and working class Americans "but lives on 90 acres"
-Says he brings up old conflicts between the North and South but everyone is suffering under our market driven, capitalist system.
-Hates the "obese milking welfare" line bc it's misinfo and an old conservative talking point.
-What we spend feeding the impoverished obese is on "the bottom rung" compared to defense spending and private, for profit healthcare.
-"Price gouging, Big Pharma CEO assholes."
-Country music has been co-opted by conservatives since Nixon.
-Florida Georgia Line suck but are better because they know not to talk about things like this (North vs South relations)
-Immigration and welfare isn't causing inflation and other reasons life sucks, go protest and unionize.

Surprisingly, Liberal Hivemind is the latest to mock Fantano (and even Hasan Piker no less) for alluding to the fact that rising country singer Oliver Anthony is “racist” for suggesting that his side lost the Civil War.

Despite the fact that the song has nothing to do, nor has any mention of race or the Civil War in question:
