McDonalds - I'm Lovin' It

Honest question, how many of you still get the happy meals but still choose what toy you want?

The gay ass Loki season two tie in is so embarrassing, even more so than the meals based on D-list rappers I'd never heard. A promotion based on capeshit that isn't even out yet, with a pretentious "As Featured In" name for a combo that's just a meal with nuggets or a burger with a sweet and spicy sauce. (With gigantic LOKI™ branding on the pack)

I know Marvel consoomers are going to lap it up regardless

EDIT: I was mistaken it's literally just the sweet and sour sauce with a different label, what the fuck
You should see the ad they're doing for "The Marvels"

It's laughably dumb.

The best part is Loki and the Marvels will flatline, and I don't think people are going to go too much for them compared to the D-lister gimmick they usually do. Loki burned fans for doing that awful bait and switch with their main cast member, and the Marvels features people no one cares about. And both of them are coming out after repeated shows and movies which sucked absolute ass and further crippled interest in the franchises.

So I don't really know if the McD's take on these will do well, especially since those toys don't sell in stores.

I'm very lucky that I missed out on the Grimace shake.

I pulled up to my local McDonalds at 3am after a long drive back from a fishing trip, open 24 hours, for a McChicken. They told me they were "switching to breakfast" and couldn't make anything. I fucking hate these wagies sometimes
I used to work night shifts, and I've had that too.

Usually happens in the least competent restaurants. Milkshake machine ALWAYS broken, they're out of some random bullshit, "exact change only", etc. etc. It was infuriating because many years ago it was once a prototype location (for what, is a bit too powerlevel-y) and as a result of one of the better restaurants around, now it was being run by an investment firm six states away.

My knowledge is ancient now, but the deep fryers used for the McChicken were different than the ones used for hashbrowns (used french fry fryers instead).

The stainless steel grills used to make burgers would be the ones used to cook egg rounds, sausage patties and Canadian bacon. So in a smaller outfit, the breakfast and dinner menus had strict schedules (before the all-day breakfast era).

There's really no reason a wagie couldn't throw a frozen breaded chicken patty in the fryer for you other than 1) they want to turn over the menu whole cloth or 2) they use the breakfast window for the night crew to clean those fryers.

You know all those times people said they would kill to get more of mcdonalds secret sauce?

Apparently 16 year old girls take their mcdonalds sauces very seriously. Gotta be a hoodrat moment. and that was just over some sauces. Imagine what would have happened if mcnuggets were involved

They were literally at the McDonald's. Couldn't they just go back in and ask for an extra sauce?

Also speaking of the nuggets, were they changed at some point in the last 20 years? I feel like they were made very differently long ago, but they were changed to what they're like now at some point.

I don't know how it is where you all live, but the only two 24 hour McDonald's in my city are both in very shitty parts of town and staffed at night by fucking retards. It didn't used to be like this. There were more 24 hour restaurants in general, including more McDonald's, and if I was up late for whatever reason I could go get a Coke Zero and McDouble. Solid late night study fuel.

Plus I learned recently that soda products from McDonald's really are better than other places. I didn't know that was true for a very long time. When did you all learn that?

They used to be made of processed chicken meat that had artificial preservatives. They claim to be made of all white meat now. I'm pretty sure they changed around early 2000s or 2010s.
