This is some mid-level faux conciliation that Nick does. His 'Well... I don't know...' is a tactic to shut down debate because he isn't 'debating you', and he 'doesn't care'. If he isn't arguing, you can't win, and any criticisms you have are null and void.
I remember years ago watching the first few episodes after Nick's excited recommendation. I remember being incredibly bewildered as to the hype over this awfully sub-mid show. It's a show for people too cowardly to just watch actual porn. It has one joke that it runs into the ground in episode one and that joke is "lol rape isn't that shocking aren't you offended?" It's like an 14 year old who's heard of sex, understands the basic mechanics of it from seeing porn gifs, and has no comprehension of all the things that make sex sex.
The way he's talked about Lego in the past seems to imply he spends more on Legos for LR than his kids, she apparently spends a lot of the time building Lego titanics rather than taking care of the kids
