I think it probably happened for exactly the reasons @Pointless Sperg pointed out over a year ago. They had him in a diversion program that may as well have been personally written for him (with Rob Bell involved no less), and he played the tism card again. Since he apparently lived up to the terms of the agreement, they dismissed.@AnOminous could probably explain this (assuming he hasn't already), but I can't say I'm surprised by this dismissal.
This was basically what was going to happen if he didn't fuck up and miraculously he didn't.
