Unbelievable. Doesn't matter that other countries (thus far) aren't doing this; doesn't matter that the last attempt to mandate a vaccine failed (and that was before Republicans took back the House); doesn't matter that by the time they come up with a vaccine, that actually works, the new variant will likely have run its course, etc. Like I honestly can't say I've ever seen this level of boneheaded malevolence at the national level not even with things like gun control or "climate change".
Gandhi is great propaganda for making people think peaceful protesting does anything. Add a heavy layer of "violence never solves anything" and suddenly the odds of the sheep getting uppity go way down.Gandhi is another case of a narrative being spun that he was a major reason for some event happening when in reality he himself had relatively little influence in the grand scheme of things. There was this little thing the British Empire had to fight in called World War 2 which greatly effected its ability to keep itself together and letting India go out on its own rather then trying to maintain its hold without financial or international support was deemed the best decision for the United Kingdom.
Non-violent protest typically only ever works when the objectives of the protestors align with the powers in charge that make the decisions. If it didn't function that way, every dictatorship would of collapsed when some crowd voiced their discontent and the USA wouldn't of needed to fight a war for its independence.
I'm at a point where any sort of influential figure has a whiff of the pedo I just assume that's the case.Allegedly the young girls were his grandnieces and children of his followers and were 14 and younger. Depending on who's recalling the time line of events, it differs between "nothing happening" to ghandi being a creepy pedo rapist.
This reads like the bitch is a double agent. Some Facebook posts from the Fulton County DA prosecuting Trump:

It makes sense when you really think about it. These indictments don't really stand a chance in any kind of fair court proceeding and getting them all beaten and thrown away would be such a massive boost to Trump and his footing that it would almost guarantee him the primary. Couple that with how self sabatoging the democrats are and you could easily plant a mole on them to take a method that already consistently fails and push it to its logical extreme to utterly break one of the DNCs greatest weapons against you. Now, whether it's a SAC or a conspiracy set forward by Trump and his team is a question of its own interesting implications.Fani Willis is our guy?
Fani Willis is our guy?
I mean, if I was any of the lawyers, when I was asked why I thought what I was doing was ok, I would point to this every time. Just beat everyone over the head with the fact that the election was so messed up that even the prosecuter thought something was wrong. And point out how we never got answers to any of their questions.Trump should swear a complaint against Willis on precisely the same charges for the lulz
Attorney Lawrence Caplan filed a challenge claiming Trump cannot legally be on the 2024 ballot because he “engaged in an insurrection.” “The bottom line here is that President Trump both engaged in an insurrection and also gave aid and comfort to other individuals who were engaging in such actions, within the clear meaning of those terms as defined in Section Three of the 14th Amendment,” Caplan said in his filing. “Assuming that the public record to date is accurate, and we have no evidence to the contrary, Trump is no longer eligible to seek the office of the President of the United States, or of any other state of the Union.”
I've seen this quoted all over the place. It requires a pretty broad reading of the meaning of "insurrection"; in fact, one so broad that half of congress (and every Democrat that called Al Gore Mr President in 2000) would be disqualified. It also ignores the fact that, under section 5, congress has to specifically disbar such people from office. It isn't something that can just be assumed through the courts. Congress has to legislate, or otherwise act, to enforce it.
Honestly, Troubles is what I’ve considered worst case scenario.Full out civil war? Unlikely.
American flavor of the Troubles, with a dollop of states telling the feds to go fuck themselves? Definitely a nonzero chance there.
Rough history coming.
