Jesus. I just realized that I now hear all of Nick's tweets in my head as his Ron Soye voice. His transition to complete self-parody has been impressive.

No. This concerns Dick. He's incapable of being neutral on Dick.
As I said in the other thread, his first video on his Youtube channel was about the Maddox lawsuit. He initially created his channel because of Dick.
Dude, let's not kid ourselves here. He'd side with Dick regardless. On practically anything. The fact July is involved in this is almost irrelevant. You could replace July with literally anybody, and that would still be true. He might not like Vito as much, but Vito is a package deal with Dick, so he's gonna defend him in deference to Dick.
I do agree though that July's callout is gonna cause people to trigger his ODD. He's already saying stupid shit like Dick and Vito don't REALLY like Cuties.
Nick's cope for Dick has always been, 'People do not understand his comedy!' This explanation always rankled with me, because it is basically the low brow complement of 'you are not sophisticated enough to appreciate it'. Dick provokes people for a reaction, and a reaction to outrageous behaviour is funny? I am not talking slapstick humour, but things the get very close to harassment or purposeful instigation. I never understood the appeal of the humour where you trick people into being angry, then you point and laugh, ' I got you cross! Hahaha! Joke on you!'. This is the same kind of behaviour that the kid in London who walked into random peoples' houses, cars, and the like that people would just find annoying and dangerous. You know his drug-riddled husk of a brain is just comtemplating saying something like "No guys, Dick and Pedo's....I mean Vito's, years long defense of Cuties was ironic. It was all jokes. You just don't understand because they're great comedians and you're not"
Rippa was building up for the crowd funding announcement for a long time (one year + of waiting) and actually invested a lot of his own money before the crowd funding went live. That's why a lot of people support him.The Rippaverse does gangbusters crowdfunding for the first few thing(s), something like $5 mil.
As funny as the "Rekieta effect" meme is, I'm not sure it's particularly logical. I think your earlier view of this was more so.I don't know how, I don't know why, but thanks to the Rekieta Effect, Rippa's legal victory is all but assured at this point.
A squid could have predicted Maddox losing, in all fairness. As funny as the "Rekieta effect" meme is, I'm not sure it's particularly logical. I think your earlier view of this was more so.
Besides, the Rekitea effect isn't always right. Just mostly. He did, after all, correctly predict Maddox losing. My takeaway from that, and many other things, it's it's really hard for plaintiffs to win these things.
Understand, I certainly think if would be funny if Dick and Vito got their shit pushed in by black comics guy. I'm hardly team Vito/Dick/Rekieta. It's just that I've seen too many of these things fall right on their ass.
I also think a lot is come down to who July retains as counsel. If they are Ty Beard tier, July is fucked.
If Eric sued Dick/Vito he would and he should lose. If he won it would be funny, but it would have very unwanted legal ramifications if it rises to the level of precedence. As funny as the "Rekieta effect" meme is, I'm not sure it's particularly logical. I think your earlier view of this was more so.
Jesus he's looking rough. Don't know if he caught some bug or if the liquor is catching up with him but it looks like he hasn't slept in days.
Sir, are you implying Mundane Matt has lower intellect than a squid?A squid could have predicted Maddox losing, in all fairness.
yeah, every "case" is always either right or wrong, Nick and everyone always have a 50% chance of being correct, but I don't believe for a second that Nick will report anything about this July vs Pedos drama fairly, fuck, he is even actually defending Vito now about the cuties stuff, that's a complete new low.Sir, are you implying Mundane Matt has lower intellect than a squid?
No, but seriously, I don't disagree. Still, fair is fair. Nick is not always wrong, just mostly.
Frankly, the reason why I don't think anybody should put any stock in what Nick says about any of this is because he's got his head up Dick's ass. Find me a lawyer less bias, less inebriated, and less shit.
To be fair, a lot, if not most of the Farms is gonna back July in this because of our own collective bias against Vito. There's bias both ways. Yeah, Vito needs to be fed into a wood chipper (in Minecraft) for many reasons, but should he lose a lawsuit to July? I think those are two separate things.yeah, every "case" is always either right or wrong, Nick and everyone always have a 50% chance of being correct, but I don't believe for a second that Nick will report anything about this July vs Pedos drama fairly, fuck, he is even actually defending Vito now about the cuties stuff, that's a complete new low.
Rekieta's Law.Maybe it can be called "Nick's Law". The more confident Rekieta is in a legal outcome, the more likely the opposite outcome will manifest.
The Maddox case wasn't hard to call. That was also several years ago when Nick had more functional brain cells. What about the cases where Nick has skin in the game? How have the cases gone that Nick has instigated such as the Vic case and the Montegraph?Besides, the Rekitea effect isn't always right.
Full Blown AIDS. It is known.Jesus he's looking rough. Don't know if he caught some bug or if the liquor is catching up with him but it looks like he hasn't slept in days.
Implying he didn't have skin in the game with Masterson. He was and is fan of Dick. He was a fan before he even had a Youtube channel. He created his Youtube channel because of the Maddox case. Because he couldn't get the same audience in Dick fan forums. He thought "well, I have a law degree, and I love Dick, so I can totally talk about this." It was, at least arguably, his first grift. His head swelled from the reception he got, and being right, and he graduated to things like Meyer v. Waid and the Vic case. He was rewarded for his service to Dick by being invited to Road Rages and whatnot. He's still enjoying the fruits of that labor from Dick. He'll soon be at Nashville. The Maddox case wasn't hard to call. That was also several years ago when Nick had more functional brain cells. What about the cases where Nick has skin in the game?
Be careful, the Creator might take that literally."Look at me using lawyer words. Will you notice me now, e-daddy? Can I come on your show and review legal topics with you?"
I'm not seeing the cause of action. Being a little snitch bitch and reporting someone to a trademark holder when the claim is pretty tenuous is seriously scummy, especially for no real reason (ISOM is a church and July's ISOM is a comic book and nobody reasonable would assume one meant the other). But I can't think of how it's illegal. To be fair, a lot, if not most of the Farms is gonna back July in this because of our own collective bias against Vito. There's bias both ways. I think what makes it particularly scummy is the fact they pretended they were a reporter and pretended they thought that Rippa was connected to ISOM. That was specifically done to plant the idea there is consumer confusion between the mark, and July's character.I'm not seeing the cause of action. I dunno. The reason why people are saying TI is because, at one point in his video, July leans in and emphasizes the word "interference."Some have said tortious interference but interference with what contract?
Dick and Vito right now.I'm not seeing the cause of action. Nick looks and sounds terrible compared to before his vacation. His voice has sounded totally shot all week and he mentioned at the start of his most recent stream that he just realized he was wearing the same shirt as the previous night, which appears to be the case if you look at the last two streams.Jesus he's looking rough. Don't know if he caught some bug or if the liquor is catching up with him but it looks like he hasn't slept in days.
Pretty sure there isn't one. And I don't think Eric July is stupid enough to try a defamation suit either.I'm not seeing the cause of action.
