Off-Topic Deathfat Encounters IRL - This thread is not your personal army.

Saw something far, far worse than a landwhale today: A woman pushing her morbidly obese child around in a wheelchair. The kid was about 7, and had to weigh 300 lbs. This was in a restaurant, so all I saw was the woman buying a soda and the kid reaching desperately for it, but I feel bad for him. His life was over before it started.

How about T2 diabetics who are not grossly overweight. Are they prescribed this stuff?
They can be. It really depends on what country they live in, the regulations in that country, and whether other interventions work. It’s an expensive medication compared to other medications like Metformin or Acarbose. Most drs will go for the cheaper tablet medications before the expensive injectibles. In countries like Australia, where medications are govt subsidised, the expensive injectibles are only available to those who have failed to get results from cheaper tablet alternative treatments. Use is strict controlled and monitored. I’ve actually only come across one diagnosed diabetic (and I know many) who has managed to get Ozempic prescribed and therefore government subsidised. All the others I know that take it are not diabetics so pay whatever it normally costs.

I have to say, working retail has confirmed and deboonked so many stereotypes for me. My stores customer base almost perfectly splits into thirds for White/Black/Hispanic, with a slight percentage left over for the random few Asians and like one or two Middle Eastern families. Fat, even straight up deathfat, White Women dating relatively fit black men - confirmed. The chunkier you are as a woman (especially if you are white, but they go for the blacks and Latinas too), the more likely you are to be hit on to a disgusting degree by the worst absolute bottom feeder black men - confirmed. Big Latina asses - deboonked. This shit had to come from Jennifer Lopez, because almost every South of the Border woman who comes in here is flat-assed, and when they are fat they get the most unfortunate apple shape. Tiny tits, flat asses, huge beachball guts. Fat kids are not as common as you'd think, but are depressing when I see them. I feel as bad for them as I do that Muzzie girl who comes in wearing a hijab now that she's at the age to be trapped in one of those things. Deathfat white men with gunts hanging below grubby shirts on occasion, but not super common. Most of the white men with girth to them have those Randy Bobandy tight, round "Help, my liver is dying" beer guts.

As far as depressing deathfat stories go, a buddy of mine in high school became a deathfat, or close to it. He was always fat, and fairly short, so he did the fat guy thing and coped by being funny. And it worked, we all enjoyed hanging out with him. He loved music, and was just all around fun to be around. I lost contact with him for many years, but reconnected on social media. He had ballooned substantially, reaching borderline, if not outright, deathfat status. We'd chat periodically, and the last time we chatted, he mentioned getting off his ass and taking care of himself, working out, walking more. I was super happy for him, and told him so.
About a year later, he died of a heart attack. He was only in his mid 30s. Take care of yourselves, people.

Saw something rare. Local area is loaded with landwhales so seeing a deathfat in person isn't an oddity.

But seeing a deathfat hooker is. There she was working the corner by the vape store and the Indian Cell phone repair store, which is a front for a local Indian ran pot and pill ring.
Cut offs that showed way too much. They were so tight her legs looked like two busted cans of biscuits. Jet black Sublime shirt that was at least a 4xl and skin tight. Flip Flops on her hooves. Greasy long badly bleaches hair pulled back into a ponytail.

Passed by on my way to the gym. There is a speed bump in front of the vape shop. Slowed down to go over it and she waved!

After gym passed back by and saw her walking off with 2 skinny black guys.Stuffign money and her vape into her bootleg MK purse.

I was never thanked for that, or hauling her groceries for her, I was actually handed a different broom so I could work better!
Stop doing that shit for them. They're never going to thank you. They'll just get mad when you stop doing it.

reclaim medical masks by ONLY using them around the obesos
lets see how long itll take for them to start being called a bigoted symbol
They DO carry a higher viral load when it comes to the Rona.

I saw a huge woman at the bus station last week. She was probably close to six feet. Definitely an actual woman. But a good 500 pounder. She was wearing black dress pants and a black shirt so she probably was going to or from work. Her head was like a jumbo pumpkin. It was so big her glasses looked like doll glasses. Her fupa was flopping around under her pants every time she moved. It was grotesque.

I was wondering what kind of job she had and how she manages to do it while carrying an extra threehundy+ around. It must hurt to live. But food tastes good so...

I can't even begin to imagine the kinds of side effects both short term and long term coming from a drug that makes you just lose weight regardless of diet or activity level. I'd hazard a guess that meth might be a safer option.

It doesn't make people lose weight regardless of diet or activity level. It's also completely false that it causes weight loss through nausea, vomiting, etc although those can be side effects. As if with all drugs the potential side effects listed by the FDA are long but in actuality are typically minimal.

Semiglutide (the active ingredient of Ozempic) mimics a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1, which stimulates insulin production and suppresses the production of glucagon. This means people feel satiated for longer and after consuming less food. It also slows the rate at which food empties out of the stomach so people taking it generally report a freedom from cravings and an inability to overeat without becoming ill.

Initial studies have also suggested it somehow messes with dopamine receptors in the brain that trigger pleasure and correlate to addiction. They've given Ozempic to alcoholics who have reported no longer feeling a need to drink when on the drug. Similarly patients report no longer compulsively online shopping or other dopamine-seeking behaviors.

This stuff is honestly a miracle drug and hopefully it will be available in pill form for long term use in the near future.

I can’t see that happening where it becomes a free for all for all addictions.

The effects of long term usage are now showing it’s not as harmless as first thought. The slow emptying of the stomach can, and has, resulted in gastro paresis and bowel blockages. It has also caused anesthecists to have to start telling their surgical patients to stop taking the drug prior to surgery because of food staying in the stomach. There are actually lawyers now calling for clients who’ve used ozempic/Wegovy and experienced gastro paresis with class actions being started in some countries.

We still have to wait and see how the black box warning for thyroid cancer pans out. While it wasn’t expected to be an issue because it was only seen in rats, there seems to be more concern about it now. It’s definitely not a drug I would consider taking unless I was actually a diabetic and being continuously monitored by a doctor.

LOL lawyers searching for a reason to sue isn’t exactly cause for alarm.

All medications have side effects. The question is whether the risks outweigh the benefits, which in the case of ozempic is a resounding “yes.”

Manufacturers claim ozempic reduces the overall risk of heart attacks, strokes and cardiovascular deaths by 20 percent. Weigh that against needing to take a fiber supplement to prevent blockage.

Boys, I think we have an Ozempic shill itt

Sorry but there's no way injecting a shitton of medication intended for diabetics into nondiabetics for "muh weight loss" won't have any kind of ramifications down the line. We couldn't get Ozempic or Trulicity where I am in the USA for a long time too. What sucks is that once again this is the only website where I can express an opinion without getting dogpiled, in this case it's that fatasses shouldn't get to hoard diabetes medication because they're addicted to food. Apparently we shouldn't blame the hamplanets...it's the manufacturer's fault for not keeping up with the demand of nondiabetics!

Anyway, Ozempic and similar medications won't address the psychological aspect of food addiction. I know of patients that somehow managed to gain weight while getting Ozempic. And these patients only got Ozempic in the first place because they already had diabetes (a shock I know).

There is never anything called a miracle drug. Every time it happens, it turns out to be one of the worst things there. People have brought up gastrointestinal issues, well a lawyer doesn't sue for no reason. They need proof it isn't good, otherwise it's a waste of money for them and makes them look bad. They want EASY wins, and medical companies have excellent lawyers. They would need more than a handful of statements to get it just off the ground, which I think people forget. Remember, if they rarely win, who would hire them? Especially when there's a million others out there?
You should never want to take a drug you don't need. Your body is not made for it. "All meds have side effects", yeah, and some are so nil that they almost don't count. Know what my seizure meds side effect for me is? Being tired and loss of apatite. That's it. Oh and possible seizures, because if someone with a seizure disorder is on it and they have one, they have to label that. I still won't tell people to take a seizure medication just because it has low risk for ME. You never know if you're an outlier, or one of the lucky ones.
Eta: oh and another reason I wouldn't recommend it, I don't want to die from a fucking shortage over medications because a fatass couldn't put the fucking fork down like everybody else!

LOL at people mad that fatass food addicts are hoarding a diabetes drug. Exactly what do you think causes diabetes? 🤔

Penicillin, aspirin, insulin, lipitor, not one of the worse things there.
Yeah and people are over prescribed penacillin, now look at what happened, antibiotic resistant bacteria like MRSA, an incredibly deadly infection that is extremely common to get after a surgery.
Too much aspirin or tylenol will damage your liver to the point you need a transplant, and lowers your pain tollerence significantly if over used. Insulin is not a miracle drug, if you eat the same amount of food and just use insulin to offset the side effects, you'll just die faster with less crashes. Look at Kelly Lenza for this, she's now in heart failure for doing this exact thing because she couldn't put the fork down. Insulin is also used in type 1s, the kind you are born with, not eaten yourself into. A lot of young fatasses might also not have diabetes yet, so again, taking from people that need it.
